I did 4 x a beaver last night, and I wasn't anywhere near Stanley Park.
PS: Will, Frenchie, and the rest, your female ballers got STOMPED this weekend. They got beat worse than ginger step-kids.

I showed up to Sunday long run yesterday... ALMOST almost back to my old self.
Attention all male SFU athletes:
It has come to my attention that you guys have come down with a torrent case of vaginitis, where due to the lack of success in the mens side of your athletic program, as a whole, you have resorted to living vicariously through the successes of your female counterparts. It's disgusting -- GROSS -- and I will no longer stand for it. There will be a meeting in the AQ at the end of day Thursday where the Clans Team Gynecologist will meet with any members suffering with severe cases of this Vaginitis. After the meeting it is encouraged that all male athletes attend your local 'Pub' night -- though no breezers, coolers, or cider will be tolerated throughout the duration of the evening.
Thank you for your time and I look forward to all of your recoveries. -Will Stewart
Ganty,
We be fair and completely honest, we were actually too busy watching the guys beat UVic over here. Reasoning to watch this game as opposed to the one on the hill as follows: 1. I'd rather watch Mens sports 2. SFU is far... and on a hill, and gas ain't cheap 3. I do have friends from high school (I swear), and most of them play for UVic 4. I hate watching UBC lose to those SFU tossers

Will, knowing how you feel about women's sport, I almost didn't mention it, and probably wouldn't have had the games been even remotely close. But they weren't, and a beat down like that deserves to go on public record. Don't blame you for not coming up to SFU... I had to pay 117c/litre the ohter day. And it ain't getting cheaper. And in the end that SFU/UBC series meant nothing, as both will be at CanWest next weekend.
And while I can't speak for other SFU Men's Varsity teams, I know that after this past XC season, we are living vicariously through no one.

but what about the vaginitis? Been taken care of. Health services bulk ordered some Vagisil, apparently it works to clear up vaginitis in men. It was also discovered that the aforementioned condition was first contracted by some SFU football players (understandable) and spread from there.

Will, the only reason you know so much about vaginitis, is its not because you go to the school of Universal Basket Cases, Its because you had a personal encounter with Uvic Vaginitis on the weekend.
You know dylan, you cant keep blaming shit on the foot ball dude, they have feelings too. Also, fourth at nats an't that good.

What happens between me and any UVic Vagina is a personal matter formula.
Those football guys may have feelings, but they suck shit at football.

Oh ya,
You guys do that shit, I forgot.
How are you guys sitting? Does that 1:52 by Culley count to make it... I heard he ran it on a downhill runway.
I was looking at the schedule though and it's different from last year for steeple.... at least different from slow cunts like myself.

The boys are actually sitting pretty decent..... final entry lists are here: naia.cstv.com/sports/m-itrack/stats/2007-2008/naiafinalindoormen08.htmlCouple of top 10s in there, but Nats is a whole new ball game, especially for the relays. I looked at the Mt.SAC schedule a couple months ago and remember thinking that it had changed up quite a bit from last year. But I'm not a huge fan of doubling down there anyway, so it doesn't affect me that much.

sparknotes version Gant, it's not worth my time to be scrolling through heat sheets.
mareks a fan of me, will stewart-the most injury prone runner in the world, tripling....
"really marek.... really?.... i think that's pretty f*cking lousy idea..... really?" ... I'll try and race OD friday, hopefully I can do to you this year, what Symonds did last year (though highly doubtful)... and don't say it was cause you got spiked, he took the screws to ya 300m before that happened, and flipped the double guns as he cruised past!
Millennium BFast tomorrow UBC Crew.... get some.

Yeah, I was hurtin' bad the last few laps in that race.... but when Symonds passed me and shot the guns, I got pretty freakin' motivated to man up and catch that not-so-man pretty T-Bird. But just as I was about to throw down an unearthly kick from 500m out, some ass hole took my right spike off. Pretty sure I had a 60 flat last lap in me had that not happened....... errrr, no?
Tripling??? Doesn't Marek realize that Mt. SAC is less about racing and more about getting tanned, watching top class T&F, and In-And-Out Burgers??? What a jerk.
Seriously though, tripling would be a "pretty f*cking lousy idea". That kind of idiocy should be reserved for sprint dicks and mid-distance stars named Howard and Johnstone.

At least those two are talented.
I don't even run three times a week on average... and now I'm supposed to race three days in a row.... lousy indeed.
Now that you mentioned getting rad tans Gantypants, this is my cue to let all nanzy-panzy distance freaks looking for full time summer employment this year to let me know, as I am currently interviewing and hiring employees.
To be a reasonable candidate, you need to: 1. Not be a pussy (you may have one, but you can't act like one) 2. Be comfortable with heights (yes, that is a prereq to not being a pussy, but still must be mentioned) 3. Like beer - we're having a kegger every two weeks all summer... (we'll buy some fru-fru shit too for girls and girly men, but I won't have any) ... I'm serious, three of us are hiring 50 painters by May 1st for another summer of glory, so if any UBC/SFUers want to work in Vancouver over the summer as a means of NOT going home (if you don't live with mommy and/or daddy) or making some decent cash while living with mommy and/or daddy let me know.

How physically taxing/detrimental to training is this painting?
(I realize by even asking this I'm labeling myself as a pussy, and am therefore disqualified. Forget about it.)

How physically taxing/detrimental to training is this painting? Painting is good honest work. If you're putting in 8 hour days, it shouldn't impair good training, but longer (10-12 hr) days can take a toll, especially if it's like 6 days/week. I think this is my first post on this legendary thread. At first I was reluctant, but then I remembered that I'm a UBC alumnus, so I think I'm entitled.

pq, who are you if you don't mind my asking. A hack masters distance runner. If you look at the Dome indoor results from this winter on the Ottawa Lions site, there's a guy with my initials, born in 65, who appears in some of the results. That may or may not be me. Also, I did my masters at UBC (Civil Engineering, '96). Currently doing PhD (hopefully '08) in Geological Engineering at Queen's. Not really fast enough to run for Queen's, and at my age that would be silly anyway, and plus we live off campus (Ottawa). (When I said alumnus, I meant of the school, not of XC or track) I've thoroughly enjoyed most of the back and forth on this thread. Mind you, we didn't talk dirty like you kids back in the day... Morals must have loosened a fair bit out on the wet coast since I studied out there.

Morals must have loosened a fair bit out on the wet coast since I studied out there. I'm to blame for that, don't bring the others down with my savagely inappropriate discourse. Painting is a pretty sweet gig... also, time off for meets, training and such wouldn't be an issue either (because i'll be taking the time off for it too).

Plus, you'll make way more money and be on facebook far less if you did this than working at a Running Store.

I just found out today that you tossers are hosting the Dual Meet this year, and that its going to be in Richmond. That f*cking sucks. Hurry up and build a real track, or else just let us host the stupid thing.
On a related note, I started my weight-lifting program today.... I'm gonna own the Hammer Throw at this years Dual. Peace

I usually avoid posting on this thread, but its been a couple weeks and no one has mentioned it ...
Congrats to Dylan and the DMR team; it's been a while since male BC distance runners (not named Mosley or Ziak) placed so high!

Gant. you forgot we have McIsaac (6th last year in Hammer, and all around party boy)... among other field athletes (some of whom we may or may not have poached off your team from last year). Nice try.
Hoey, you high jumping this year?
If we're going to stand a chance in the Dual this year... it's going to be due the the fact we will go 1-2 in every field event.
I recommended to Marek that we let you hosers host this year because it's your little Olympian Ruki's last year... and our track is supposed to be done by august and having a track and not hosting in my SR year will be weaksauce.... I think it was darkside who vetoed that one.... but i'm honestly not too sure, I might be accidently spreading rumors on TnF (as usual).
You missing any posters from that house party you had last weekend by chance?

Thanks Ed. And are you going to come out of retirement to high jump for us? That'd be sweet.
Will, as for your poaching of certain ex-SFU throwers, I think you can thank a certain UBC soccer chick for that little gem..... or am I just spreading rumors on TnF? Whatever. And your points regarding who should host BC's version of "Pros vs. Joes" are totally valid. I can't see Brit refusing to host the Dual, but then again, she is the Darkside, and her ways are unpredictable.
Yeah, I am missing a poster. She wants it back, by the way. Seriously, who has it, you or that knucklehead Kiwi?

Well, technically I'm eligible despite having not taken 12 credits since fall 2006 ... but throwing on an SFU jersey would probably require more interaction with 'vador than the "absolutely none" that I've come to enjoy - maybe at a Hershey meet ...
Enjoy your spring seasons, SFUers and UBCers!
