Whoa, I guess this is what I get for putting my nuts on the table! Mighta gotten a weeee tad outta hand…a bit. Just a bit.
But yeah sorry ubcrocks, I might have gotten a bit too intense there…it’s just that competitive spirit, you know…nothing wrong with that…just remember that everything I type is meant to be spoken with a goofy voice and a shit-eating grin…and speaking of spirits…when’s the beer mile Will?

I went to the Suns/Sonics game tonight (good game until the end of the 3rd quarter - game was tied and D'Antoni benched all starters...)
Shithead in Big Country Reeves Jersey "Hey Britt, you ready for tomorrow or what?" Darkside "What's tomorrow" Shithead in Big Country Reeves Jersey "BC Champs" Darkside "Oh shit, I totally forgot... see you there"
Marek says stupid shit all the time... but not shit that stupid.
Beer mile will date to be determined after Regionals.
Seriously people need to stop hacking useless shit on this thread... it's beginning to remind me of letsrun... get over it, think about what you're going to say and make it funny... if not, eat shit and die.
9am ferry tomorrow. pz.

Frenchie, don't put up with that crap. Taking it too far is not the case. I agree with Iwill that things need to be funny but that's just out of line. A Ubcer should never admit defeat or the need to justify his/herself. As mentioned we(or Marek) do stupid shit or make stupid comments all the time. It's the way we are. Tovers has a chip so big on his shoulder he feels the need to pull up some kindergarten bullshit. Oh no...Teacher(BRIT), Johnny swore at meeeee wahhhhh!!! Cut the I wanna beat a Canadian 5th grader and maybe come track season you'll lose that shit filled diaper. I'm going by Numbers. Seems UBC needs a little more quantity on this forum. No doubt SFU can post 1-2-3-4-5 before the 1st Ubcer. There's 6 or 7 of them on here in comparison.
~Cheers~

....and she missed her ferry reservation as well....fortunately, she got on, but only 4 cars behind her..... Typical. Nearly missing flights/ferries etc. has become and SFU tradition. There have been times when only luck and NASCAR like driving ability have gotten us to the airport in time.

Hey sup?
So...5 days until judgement day. Some how regionals always turns out to be my least favorite race of all.
1st year-almost disqualified due to someone claiming I had cut a corner by 8 feet. It was a hair pin turn and I for one didn't have the energy to go all the way around. More like 2 maybe 3 feet. It was justified as a result of the rainfall, the course was a giant mud hole. Where were the markings, if i knew.
2nd-let's just say i had the opportunity to run well until we ended up running at such a piece of a course. I'm sure many others liked it but i beg to differ.
3rd year...we're bound to find out. I for one am looking forward to it, somehow this year is going to be different...
...if not as i've heard before and am bound to hear in the future "I just shit the bed" or "That's a cluster fuck"
Good luck, rest up and come ready to beat them yankees.

Rack 'em! Atta boy Beta, solid debut.
PS: Bomba, you ran okay on Saturday too, I guess. Is everyone who made the BC Team going to Guelph?

Why not Bomba? Do you not want to pay $400 bucks to race back east a week before your marathon?
I would guess Simon and Steve are busy with their respective endeavours... Titus will be going for sure... the best way to fail classes is by running a race in December.

Man...I'd be happy to pay $400 at this point. I'm looking at it more like this. $450 for flight to Toronto, ~$40 approx. bus to Guelph and back, $150 - 3 nights hotel(Thurs-Sat), $55 Race entry(I haven't confirmed this yet but i think that's what it was last year), $60 - 3 days food. frig, I'm looking at around a $750 price tag on this race...I may have to rethink this one.....well i guess it pays to make the BC team

....and we're back from out of disgrace...!
Rankings are up and things are looking brighter for SFU. 24th spot is amazing...right!! It's ironic to me that as a result of the new post-regional ranking introduced a year ago, pre-regional races are almost irrelevant.
Almost as irrelevant as my post to the ongoing discussion.
I thought it would be funny to post the video from training camp where we're actually belching out to that song from out of space. you know the one. Then i realised i'm not as techno geek as a i thought and am unable to even attampt to figure it out. It may have already been posted a while ago so for tha matter someone with time could probably find it.
Dgant, phoenixvic...will...help!
I'm loving it!

So I guess not racing for three weeks isn't the death knell everyone was making it out to be. But I am confused as to how we could consistently slide out of the rankings, then jump back into the Top 25 without toeing a starting line. NAIA rankings are officially faaaacked up. But I think we'd already established that.
Seth, I know you're new to this whole trash-talking-message board thing, but we generally try to not embarrass ourselves completely. Posting that video you mentioned would certainly accomplish that. So I won't be posting it, and I hope no one else will either.
Phoenix, I'm taking that comment of yours to the bank. And if it turns out to be false, I'll be one sober, angry runner looking for revenge when I get home.

dgant: "Hey, I am Dylan" Hot babe: - shakes hand -"Vanessa (or whatever)" dg: "I am a runner" Hb: "oh, that's nice" - starts to turn away - dg: "fuck! my friend phoenix told me if I said that, girls would buy me ice cold cream ale's here in ontario, what a bastard!" hb: "wait, you know PHOENIX? PHOENIX VIC?! dgant: "yeah he lived at my house once, it was pretty awesome" hb: "get out! like, the 2007 pool volleyball world championships runner-up phoenixvic?! you are soooo cool, let me show you off to my girls" dg: - to self - *thank you phoenix*
the situation envisioned above is exactly why i expect only the nicest kind of revenge seeking upon your return dgant. perhaps fewer giant phallus comments posted online, and more of them saved for appropriate situations, like conversations with siblings.

NAIA rankings are officially faaaacked up. No shit Sherlock, Three regions (I, II, VIII) comprise 60% of the top 25 teams yet it is impossible for all of these teams to race at nationals do to all automatic berths given to the absolutely horrid regions in bum-f*ck nowhere USA. Better system needs to be implemented.... in hte next threee days. Ridiculous.

This thread is just pathetic. 30 something pages last year and 12 so far this fall??? Where are the true XC men? One can only hope that Sir Will steps up and runs with some SFU scorers or else this rivalry is going to begin its fade into oblivion. What the hell is going on at UBC, do you guys even recruit anymore??
As for SFU, you guys are a bunch of dusters. You are coached by a girl.. need I say more?
Phoenixvic's penis is completely irrelevant to this discussion. It makes me laugh to think how little of a rivalry there is this fall considering some guy's hammer size is the most heated debate you fellas have had.
Clearly UVIC is the best team in the province right now... maybe you guys should come back and join the CIS and see how real men run xc, or maybe I shouldn't open up that can of worms.

Actually, what is pathetic is that you actually follow this useless banter. I personally will only read the odd other thread on TnF other than this because a. I don’t even know what OFFSAA means and b. my time is better spent doing pretty much anything but passively scrolling(trolling) running forums, ridiculous. (and by the odd other thread I mean H2H)…
It’s quite clear (at least to me) that, in general, the only people who really follow this thread are T’Birds or Clansmen-past and present, or guys/gals who train with us. But I guess you proved me wrong, bedraggled randoms do too.
UVic’s team is solid this year, and hosting CIS, it’d be sweet if they pull up an upset and win it. Fuck, if I don’t make NAIAs I’ll be in Victoria with a Harry Potter style Thunderbolt on my face cheering them on. But let’s hope it doesn’t get to that point.
Since you’re a big enough loser to read the thread this year, I’m assuming you read it last year so Bubs, instead of trying to replay the already tired “UBC/SFU NAIA/CIS” debate, don’t, just reread last years thread. I mean it’s quite clear you have enough time to do so.

Animal Maynard FTW.
I base this pred. on the fact that Animal wasn't seen at the UBC pool at any point yesterday for the first time in recorded history. Since he chose to give a miss to his daily routine swimming 48 000 laps, the Animal will actually have some semblance of rest going into this race. Two minutes off his 8k instantly. Three if someone can convince him to not try to set the WR for holding one's breath enroute for once.
Hey bubs... your mom's pathetic!
