I just saw Massey put 4 guys ahead of a kid that placed 21st at OFSAA senior boys last year and their 5th guy was only one second behind and the 8th or 9th runner in the race was 3rd in the junior 1500 last year. Disturber you may want to reconsider your post. When did Massey place 4 guys ahead of Jacob Smith this year?

21, 22, either way that is pretty impressive of those massey boys !! It will be tough to beat a team that has all 4 runners that closely bunched. TISS has had about 30 seconds between their 2 and 3 runner and another 30 seconds between their 3 and 4 runner. At OFSAA thats alot places!!!!!

the team race is going to be exciting, but i cant think of anything more exciting than JP vs. Hughes. I dont care what anyone says, im calling these two for the race in the last 500m. Hughes has faster pbs on the track, but i think its gunna come down to who wants it more and who is going to be willing to suffer more. Both of these guys have big hearts and are quite evenly matched. Just because hughes as 2 more years of experience doesnt make much of a difference to me. I played in a senior basketball tournament last year when i was playing against kids 3 years older and it didnt matter to me. I still held my own and was able to play well and still score. I am calling JP for the win at OFSAA XC this year.

There is no way massey is getting 4 guys top 25, massey's 3 and 4 prbbly wont touch top 30.

personally how i see it massey will go 5 in the top 65 (smith 10-15, dufour/bauer 35ish, mackie/pitman 50-65ish) you tend to overrate teams by the way of their best case scenario...look at tiss last year, they didn't even put 4 in the top 50 (leeder 1, smith 20, mcfall 38(?), milks 52) and they won ofsaa. think about that for a bit

ok im not a massey runner but i know quite a bit bout these massey guys and i dont think hxc12 is given them enough credit. these runners are actually a very close group of runners begining of season they started differently daryl starting them off jesse last out of the 5. first race daryl and kyle both broke 19 minutes both breaking dave westons record of 18:52 (dave now being one of windsor top runners) and this is a accurate course just very flat. at this race jesse was sick and mark and steve were just getting started. then sickness spread through the team giving ppl there days to shine and mark just constantly getting better. now that its getting end of season and everyone being healthy there all really close. these guys train real close race real close. at ofsaa they wont be amongst 40-50 places that i can guarentee. but putting 4 out of are 5 guys past 35 just aint gonna happen, they will be close together and i really think they will be all under or really dam close to 25. this is a solid group of boys and i really can't wait to here about there results in niagra falls. to bad i wont be there to see them in action one last time.

i'm sticking by my original post that there is no way they will all be top 25. there are just far too many people to put into the top 25. i don't know much about these guys (i admit that) but from what you are saying most of them sound like they have the ability to finish up around there but there is no way they will all do that in the same race. let me put it this way.... western has a few guys that could be oua all-stars, probably about 3-4 that could do it. they won't all make it into the top 10, there just isn't enough room with the windsor, guelph and queens boys for it to happen. same thing for massey, not enough room in the top 25 for it to happen..... besides somebody is bound to have a bad race.

Massey will place 5 runners in the top 40 this year - they know that this is no cake walk - like TISS last year (no one was going to beat them - even if they had a bad day). This year these 2 teams are close - real close. It all comes down to how close Nick can stay to Massey's 4th guy - back in the 50's 30seconds can mean alot of places - last word on this topic is it comes down to 10-20 points - who wants it more? That's going to determine the winner.
P.S. Look out for Dufour ( he may finally get to race healthy for the first time in 2 years )

wow, Massey guys are a bunch of jokes now as pathetic as ive found the last few pages of this thread, this comment just isnt true. there are some good guys that go there. it just so happens that a group of people find it necessary to come on here and boast like theyve already won. massy wont put 5guys in the top 25, but neither will tiss

Hey guys, we appreciate you sticking up for us when people start chirping, but I could guarantee they're not from Massey so Massey doesn't need to get chirped either. You're making us look like asses, we know it's going to be a battle for the team title... as does everyone else on this thread. Make some predictions, and get on with it.

It's great to have two teams so closely matched. Thats what's going to make it such a great race to watch. In the end one team will win and one will be close behind but win or lose they'll all still be great runners and teams who worked hard to give us all a great show. I'll say it now, win or lose, congrats to TISS and Massey on great seasons.
