I think that everyone should know that Ben Flanagan, junior bronze medalist, is a midget! Definitely keep your eyes out for him in later years!

Another great preformance shout out should go to all the Theriault Senior Boys, don;t think anyone picked them for a medal and all their runners had awesome races to get them the bronze.

Ye for sure they surprised a lot of people today with some great running to take the bronze, congratz to their team for stepping up when it counted.

Just quickly looking at the top overall associations in the Senior Boys Race, based on top 4 runners:
1. SWOSSAA - 2, 5, 6, 12 ------- 25 2. EOSSAA - 1, 10, 22, 23 ------- 56 3. LOSSA - 8, 9, 17, 32 --------- 66 4. CWOSSA - 15, 20, 24, 37 ----- 96 5. SOSSA - 21, 26, 27, 54 ------ 109 6. WOSSAA - 25, 38, 42, 46 ---- 151 7. NEOAA - 13, 16, 62, 116 ----- 167 8. ROPSSAA - 29, 35, 49, 55 ---- 168
I'll add other associations in later, but I think this is pretty much the top 8.

Junior boys report Several of the favourites didnt make top 10: Stuart Thibert - dropped out Abdi Jama - leg cramped, dropped out Brandon Kirkup - swine flu, didn't run Chris Moyer - finished 69th Gavin Shields - injury, didnt run Chance Jones - finished 28th Devon Elijah - didnt hear anything about him? Thomas Kellar - finished 63
Teams - a lot of runners didnt do as well as expected and there teams got pushed back a lot. Dunbarton and Corpus christi had problems without kirkup and jama. Bill corthers and redmond dissapointed, st. marys and northern ran great.

um i think your top eight regions is a bit off cause cossa was 11, 33, 36, 39 = 119 which would defintly put them in the top eight and there 5th guy was 47th

Im just going to say that senior Boys delay was insane and then one police car was still there it was crazy a 35 minute delay and then the starter steps up and delays even more totally epic

Don't forget about the reason for the senior boys delay. I've heard it was due to a senior girl actually dislocating her hip on the course.

yeah a senior Girl got hurt on course and there was a massive delay and then when they did start Senior Boys one of the police cars hadnt moved yet and it was in the way of boxes like 15- 20 and all those guys got caught up in the back it was inisane there was another incident earlier in the day where a man was taken away by ambulance and like two firetrucks 6 police cars and ambulances showed up and it was a dog that hit the girl not a deer

This was one interesting meet. A midget girl got run over by a deer, completely owned her off the path. I'm not 100% sure but I think she broke her upper arm and shoulder and was concussed. At the time she thought she was run over by a car. Also just walking through the course there was almost always at least 5 people down getting tended too. Yes, it actually was a deer and thankfully just a broken collarbone; could have been much worse! One of a number of injuries throughout the day, but undoubtedly the best story to start a new Urban Legend. ...Get well soon.

yea like for junior boys it wasnt even an OFSAA race, like half of the top contenders were either sick or injured. Now we have to wait until track season to see some real races.

Junior boys was wide open. The pace was slow and about 3 legit guys dropped out with plenty more having a bad race. 2 top 10's didn't even run. Don't buy into the results too much. Great race to Palamar though. Track will hopefully be a fresh start for a real junior boy season.

At the time she thought she was run over by a car. Also just walking through the course there was almost always at least 5 people down getting tended too. Once, I was doing a long run with a buddy at 5 am (long, triple jumpers doing long runs in the morning, am I right?), anyways, we were in the woods in Malden park (on part of the WECSSAA course), and we hear a bunch of rustling. So we stop and look around for a second, think nothing of it, and keep running. We hear it again about 500m later, and turn around. BIG ASS DEER standing immediately behind us. I jumped about 10 feet in the air, screamed, and ran on. He made fun of me for a year for being afraid of deer. It's good to know I was right, and he should've feared the deer just as much.
