Those may very well be the worst preds I have ever seen. -1 i like t. wood for the win. guy would've come second in senior boys 3k at o-show this year with his time from easts and has only gotten stronger since then. next spots are toss-ups between degroot, jani, hosier, esselink, and like 3 of the massey boys. smith and degroot look the best from this group but it's tough to call without any recent race cred to back them up.

For Junior Boys, Eamonn will not win as easily or if at all. Mark my words, this kid will burn and die out, thats just my opininion but props to him if he dosnt. Im going to go with Gavin Shields, Adam Palamar and Shawn Masters, with Eamonn, Brandon Kirkup and Sloan maybe giving them a run for their money

I think with an 8:43 he can burn out substantially and still win. Ever since OFSAA last year his results have become increasingly impressive and I just can't see him making that large of a tactical error and lose ( because RIGHT NOW it seems that is the only possible way he could lose).

I think ever since the beginning of the season he could run those times. He just never had a meet which was just one race, he always did at least a 1500 and an 8 or a 3. Thats why all of a sudden when he just does one race his pb shoots through the roof. But yes i guess with an 8:43 it will be hard to lose, but he will not be near the top in senior

Junior boy predictions are the most accurate...as for senior boys it is a toss up between the usual suspects, no one has the win locked in

people will be severely disappointed with jr results when one particular individual shows up having done absolutely no work all summer.

Poor old Xavier King. This is his year to break out of Woodfine's shadow.
Woodfine has had a long season while King has closed the 3000 meter pb gap (8:27 vs 8:31/3?) and hopefully taking a break while rebuilding his base over the summer.
Mohamed Soulieman will also make great improvements this year.
Evan Esselink, Stephen Hosier, Eric Dillon.
Yes I am Durham Region biased!

xavier ran a 8:39 at ofsaa this year, and he was pushed by denault there. he was also pushed by denault to an 8:41 at centrals this year. The closest person to twoods 8:27 at east regionals was jacob cameron who ran a 9:12, and at 45 seconds back was most likely a non factor in the race for tristan. can you really compare track times for xavier and tristan when they never actually raced one another at a major meet?
I saw tristan run a 24:36 for 8 km in the bike leg of the deep river triathlon this year. if he can run that off the bike while hes doing multisport training for triathlon, what do you think he'll run when hes fresh and doing xc specific work?
maybe im ottawa valley biased but i think hes got it

Xavier King ... at RCLDS#4 8:33.41 for 3000m Xavier is a late bloomer ... I have faith that he a Denault can now challenge Woodfine
