I'm noticing a theme...these may not be the fastest BCHS (a few exceptions like Kent and Vugataveen) ever, but they are very, very deep. Should be exciting!

The sad part, with this kind of depth, is that Surrey only gets 8 (or is it 7) going to Fraser Valleys and only 7 from there to provincials. For the largest SD in BC, this is ridiculous. Shamasi (in 8th place) would win many districts in BC.
The 1500m will be even more deep - add Keffri Neal Neal, Brendan O and Gurjit Bal. 4:20 might not make it.

True, but there is a way to get athletes in to BC's without qualifying through zones, you can "open zone" an athlete I believe its called? Its set up so that athletes who would qualify out of a weaker zone can still run at BC's.
Also, congrats to Kent on the cooking times.

Wow! A very deep Surrey City meet 1500m. Slow start, fast finish
Kent didn't run 1 Keffri N 4:08 2 Johnson 4:09 3 Keane 4:09 9th 4:19 10th 4:19 11th 4:25 12th 4:27
That's ridiculous. Last year at provincials 4:23 made the final. These guys still have another round of qualifying to go - Fraser Valleys

Where were all those fast Semi guys we've been hearing about all winter?
They were all going to place at provincials, but couldn't place at Surrey Champs.

Actually, I see that the problem with a lot of 800m runners was the 400 - 800m double which was 1 hr apart.
