Oh Forum, how I've missed you,
As you've probably noticed already, I skipped out on yesterday's post. So what? Even the best of us need a break once in a while. At least I didn't take 3 years or something ridiculous like that...
So I found out that this Bio paper I have to do requires me to arrange an interview with a biologist before it can even start to be written. Looks like I may have to make an appointment with my close friend Tyler Durden if you catch my drift.
Instead of running yesterday, I did some strides to save myself time but make it feel like I'd done something useful (even though I hadn't). Ran six and a half 2s all out, peaked in at 28 -- about the pace I wanna hold over 800m this summer. So I thought that was pretty cool.
Today, was the first day of dissection and I got to have a go at a shark. Close call when our group thought it would be a good eyedea to leave one of those lil suckers in a sink and the lab supervisor almost caught us in the act. Instead, we just tried to convince people that it was a kidney stone we had found in our shark's stomach. Kids are so dumb sometimes.
Seriously, I became so attached to that thing by the end of the period that if not for the formaldehyde I might've taken it home with me and put it on our mantle. Bernie'd go nuts of course, thinking he'd been replaced and all, following it up by literally going ape*** all over the house. But if not for that I might've done it.
Ended the day with with an easy 40 that turned out not to be so easy when your legs feel like molasses. After dinner, I tried to figure out which flavour of ice cream I would have for dessert, Butterscotch Pecan or Mint Chocolate Chip, and I ended up eating half a carton of each.
Hills tomorrow.

Don't have a lot of time tonight so here's a quick breakdown of my day.
Second day of dissection, should've known it wasn't going to be poke and prod all three days. Whoever latexed our shark deserves to lose their job, there's just far too much of it in there as far as I'm concerned.
German and Nutrition finals coming up early next week cause the school doesn't assign gym times to bird courses. For German I have an interview and an hour long written exam and for nutrition I think I just have to bake something.
I decided to do 10 minute hills today and immediately regretted the decision. I think I'm coming down with a stomach bug cause after every 2nd rep I had to stop to relieve myself. At least I was recovering. Swear this is the last time I write about bowel movements for a while, but during my set today I broke my previous record for bathroom visits during a run with 7. Has anyone EVER had any more than that I wonder?
Set up a doctor's appt. for tomorrow to talk about my digestion, my arm, my Achilles, and possibly Bio-related stuff for my essay. If that falls through, I could always fill out the 10-page report with what the doctor says is wrong with me.

Dear Knights,
I checked your blog erryday during those 3 years. I gave you a place in my heart, or at least my favourites toolbar, and in return you gave me nothing.
Granted you've cleaned up your act since then and for that I commend you. Still I feel a deep hurt errytime I visit, especially when scrolling past the "Blog Archive: 2009 (38), 2006 (14)."
It will never be the same. Not for me anyways.
Dear Forum,
Third day of dissecction and I finally get to test my surgical skills and pull this guy's brain. Good thing I played Operation so much as a kid. Seriously loved that game.
Anyways, shark's heads are gross. They start off real goopy but get more and more like potato chips the deeper you go. And no, I don't mean more and more salted or anything like that; I just can't come up with a better analogy at the moment. Cut me some slack, it's 1 o'clock in the morning. K? Jeez.
Uhh ya so ran over to the doctor's office in around 30 minutes I guess. I don't actually know cause I forgot to restart my watch after holding for a stoplight. Don't you just hate when that happens?
Get called in later, meet up wit my Doc and we have a little chat about how cool it is to be a hotshot MD. Then she gets down to business.
My arm's healing quicker than expected, should be out of the cast in another couple weeks. My Achilles has mild inflammation but nothing too bad as long as I ice after exercise. And my intestines seem to have flushed themselves out. Relatively speaking, I think I'm a pretty healthy guy.
But then she drops the bomb:
"You know that callous you have on your big toe?" "Yah, what about it?" "Well...I think it might actually be something else." "Something else? Like what? Not cancer!?" "No. More like...a conjoined twin."
lol gotcha.

Hey again Forum, So I ended up doing 10 minutes before the pain augmented to a point where I thought it would be wise to stop. Took yesterday completely off, partly because of my heel and partly because I had go to take my younger brother to his piano recital in Oshawa, a two and a half hour drive each way. I figured I'd have another go later today but, in addition to the Achilles thing, I'm required to fast 16 hours leading up to dental surgery I'm having this afternoon to remove my wisdom teeth. Waking up this morning cotton-mouthed and cramping, I'm not really feeling all that up to it right now. Figured I'd take the day completely off and tomorrow too to allow for post-surgical recovery. Wish me luck. I played 18 holes of golf the day after i got my 4 wisdom teeth removed. Felt unreal...might of been from all the painkillers.

I'm baaack !!
Uhm, do you guys even remember what this thread's about? Neither do I.
Due to a flurry of finals lately, I have neglected to keep you guys (and girls? maybe? didn't think so..) posted on what I've been up to. Now I figure that most of you are up to the same, judging from the recent decline in activity on OFSAA-related threads. However, to my most diehard fans, I am sorry to have left you in the dark for all this time. To compensate, I plan on writing a little composition tomorrow about a little revelation I've had over the past couple weeks. So yeah, you've got that to look forward to.
Anyways, I trust all of you have seen my post from yesterday. If you haven't, here's the gist of it -- 2:01 b******. In flats, I forgot to mention that part yesterday. And if you don;t really care, then I suggest you just stop reading now cause most of what's left is literally just me patting myself on the back.
Around the time I stopped feeding you guys daily posts was about the time I started doing 50 minutes a day 4-5 times a week on non-workout days. Now after about a week or so of this, I would realize halfway through these run that I was going really, really slowly. Why was I going slowly? Isn't the point of competitive running to go as fast as I can?
So I'd taker down a clip. By the end of the run, I was hitting about 3:30/k and feeling great doing it. As days went by, this process repeated itself, just earlier and earlier into it. It's now pretty much gotten to the point where I'm sprinting out the door.
How long do I think I can keep this up? As long as I can I guess. Results don't lie and if I can run this well off only a month of solid training, then I figure this might be the biggest training innovation since protein shakes.
Oh yeah, I got outta my cast less than a week ago. Doctor says I must be a miracle healer or something cause she's never seen someone recover as fast as I do. I guess I have no excuses for not posting now, just what I've written here has taken me half the time as it did before. Probably should've left that little tidbit to myself.
My Achilles is still up to no good but as long as I stay on even surfaces most of the time I don't worry about it. And for those of you worrying about my twin, it's okay we've been separated and he's recovering. Moving on.
I wrote two exams this semester: Bio and Phys. For Bio, there was honestly so much writing on it I didn't know whether to classify it as more of a sciences exam or an arts exam. People I've talked to thought it was tricky, but then again people also think I'm a pretty good writer. So I'm not going to worry about it too much, they've gotta be right about one or the other.
Phys, which I just wrote today, was a bit of a different story. Everyone knows the last of anything is always the hardest of those things to get past; the last race, the last exam, whatever; but the way I went at it, you'd've figured I didn't actually plan on writing the thing. In fact, I probably played more Modern Warfare 2 leading up to the exam than than I did study.
I liken me skimming through that exam to a toddler skimming through War and Peace. Rotation? What the hell? I didn't know we even covered angular stuff in high school! Poked and prodded my way through the thing, finishing with less than 2 minutes left. Left without checking my work and went for a nice fitty-five to clear my head.
More tomorrow.

Hey guys, So before I get down to business, I wanna address a little something that caught my eye this morning. And no it's not this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q2ZpsHP2ygIt's concerning a post made yesterday by one "macd". Frankly good sir, you have no right to critique any post of mine until you make a worthwhile post of your own. A brief run-through of your post history reveals that other than your little flub yesterday, you have posted the same link not once, or twice, but three times on the same thread. Upon closer inspection, it becomes undeniably clear you're just selfishly boosting your ego: Senior boys 400 1 MACDONALD, MATT ST. FRANCIS S S 50.30 2 EASTERBROOK, DOUG GRIMSBY D S S 50.72 Congrats. You beat Doug Easterbrook. We're all veeery impressed. And whoever calls me a hypocrite and just go right to hell. Now look. I'm all too flustered to even write that composition I promised you guys. So for those of you whose only reason for getting out of bed this morning was to check was ol' limestonemiler had to say on TnFnorth (and I know for a fact that some of you lead such meaningless lives), you can thank Matt Macdonald for ruining your day. -- LSM

I didn't know Stephenie Meyer posts on tnf. who's that? Some overweight mother who lives vicariously through some whiny mary sue who loves that one guy who was cedric diggory in that one harry potter movie. You may have heard of it. Otherwise, you may be living under a rock, or not be 13 year old girl.
