Crothers has at least 3 top 30 its the 4th runner that has to do well im not sure where you got this information, but no matter how much they are going to dummy junior boys at YRAA they don't have anybody to back up Eammon this year. Adrian Gavrilov was their 2nd runner last year and i doubt he will be top 75 at OFSAA this year. He was followed closely by Kyle Stolys but i havent been following him.

I lot changes from Pre-Ofsaa to Ofsaa, 3 and a half weeks is a long time. Last year Mohamed Ahmed was the only person to win both Pre-Ofsaa and Ofsaa, (Deanna Brasz came 2nd in Sr. Pre-Ofsaa and then won Jr. Ofsaa), but other than that a lot changes, and a lot of strong people who will come top ten at Ofsaa don't go to Pre-Ofsaa, so predictions cannot simply be based on how someone did at Pre-Ofsaa.

1. Daryl Smith (it will be a battle between degroot & Woodfine, but Smith will have more guts) 2. Tristan Woodfine ( Very close to Daryl) 3. Andrew Degroot ( suffers a narrow defeat, within 10 seconds on Daryl) 4. Paul Janikowsky 5. Andrew Kowalsky (the guy always peaks perfectly) 6. Stephen Hosier 7. Xavier King 8. Jay Boychuk 9.Thomas Devries 10. David Meloche Dark horse: Jordan C Jb 1. Eamonn Kichuk ( will win for fun) 2. Christopher Moyer ( 20 seconds back) 3. Gavin Shields 4. Shawn Masters 5. Harrison Sloan 6. Adam Palamar 7. Abdi Jama 8.Stuart Thibert 9. Brandon Kirkup 10. Thomas Keller Dark Horse: Devon Elijiah

1. Andrew Degroot (Pre-Ofsaa wasn't a fluke) 2. Tristan Woodfine (will push hard but fall just short) 3 Daryl Smith (again will push hard but woodfine will be stronger than pre ofsaa and degroot will still have him) and the rest seem to me like a toss-up. Even though those guys are looking the strongest to me, they could switch positions easily and the 4-10 i cant make up my mind.

Guys, just fyi, dont bother making full top eight predictions for junior, last year there were only 10 seconds between 7th and 18th place. and people can get better, for example, chris moyer, who got 30th last year, beat gavin shield at pre ofsaa this year.

There are simply way too many talented names out there to even begin to make a top 10 list. I believe that in the past, there have been ofsaa's in where there's a pool of 10-15 athletes who simply soar above the rest of the field, making for easy predictions, however in ofsaa xc 2009, this is not the case. It is because of all the "dark horses" and "rising grade 11 stars" and the "dominant victory lappers" that I think we will see possibly one of the most competative ofsaa cross country meets in the history of the race. The depth is simply outstanding. Spots 1 through 50 will easily be compiled of well-known names, many of which fill these threads in the form of predictions. Simply qualifying for these championships this year, should be considered an outstanding accomplishment for many.

When you have a team as strong as they did last year and then get better runners to take the spots of the already strong runners, your only asking for a repeat gold

Woodfine may have gone down at the Pre-O, but anybody who reads to much into those results is outta their head. This kid always peaks perfectly, just look at his East Reg. 3k a week before his Canada Games qualifier -- amazing.

Why do you have Hosier over Jani and T Wood over Degroot maybe its just me but sounds like non-sense. T-Wood can not win against these guys whether he has the skill or not.
