- Top 15 all under 2:30 for the 1000m - Top 15 all under 4:00 for the 1500m - Top 15 all under 8:37 for the 3k
Last year everyone under 4:00 minutes made nationals and now this year with confernce championships still comming you have to be faster then 3:58.
The crazyiest part about it is that look at who isn't competing this year. Epp and Macinytre from U of S, Ried and Murphy from Guelph, Nissen from Alberta, just to name a few. All these guys are done and the times got faster.

Its good to see the 1500 get stroger again. And Gillis hasn't run yet... A few years ago 3:55.8 was the last time to make it to CI's. Hopefully the 3k can keep rolling too. When I was in first year 8:45 or so made it to CI's.

Times are pretty fast this year.. i think the best is still to come though.. I think we're gonna see a couple of guys running under 8:20 in the 3k this year... And the 1000m is gonna be really fast too.. I can't wait to see how fast Gill and others can go in the 1000m and if they will be able to make it hard for McKenzie.. Blouin is also gettin' back to his old self, as he ran 8:27 all alone.. I think he's gonna be the one battlin' it out with Gillis in the 3k... I've been training with him and he's really gettin' faster!! And after the conference meets, i think runners will need to have done under 3:56 to enter 1500m at CIS... And what's interesting is the fact that nobody ran impressive times too early in the season.. So maybe this year, nobody will run out of gas at CIS...
Plus, a lot of guys such as myself aren't running this year (injuries, switched school, etc..) but will be back next year... Ryan will be out, but we will see more deepness in tha distance events for sure... If Robbie is back and those i expect too, it will be nice...
Plus, Gill and me are going to run a 1500 this week-end at McGill Open meet, so we'll see what he can do over the distance and if he have plans to run the 1500m at CIS... He's goin' for the standard.. Interesting..
I'll hit y'all up with the results..
