I was wondering if there are going to be any meets that will have a 3km in the Toronto area, or anywhere within a 6 hour drive from Ottawa, near the end of February or the first week of March.
Thanks

The 3000 at Hal Brown at U of T on Feb 20th (Friday) will be decently quick with at least couple guys looking to run in the 8:20s or better. Hopefully some of the Slow River or Road Whore Canada guys will also venture into the big, bad city. www.torontotrack.com/varsity/announcements.shtml

I can't say for sure, but I heard rumour that UW- Arnald and Logue might be attending. I Know I am going to run, so hopefully we can roll around 8:20-25. Not sure if Dr. Matt is rabitting or not, but Danny T or Andrew Smith might be racing. So it could roll under 8:20. I would think that might be your best bet for a local race. If you want to scare the heck out of 8:00 you need to go to Notre Dame or Iowa State the first weekend in March (I believe 5-6th). Those are the NCAA last change meets. Good Luck. Cal

Not sure if Dr. Matt is rabitting or not, I believe I am at liberty to confirm that there will be a trained medical professional planning to take the field through in 4:10. Receiving trained medical attention for those following that pace without being properly prepared for it, will have to be on a first come, first serve basis.

Cal: UW's Arnald and Logue will be firing up the 3km - looking at the 8:20's. Latest I heard was that Matt M as rabbit is out, in favour of Chris Bakal (still 4:10 pace), & Danny T is out.

I was thinking of coming up if I could find a ride after work. I work until 6, so the new schedule nixes that plan. It woudn't have been a very serious race, just out there for some fun.

Not sure if you can still get an entry or not, but the word is that the mens 3km has been revised again for just after 8pm to accomodate for those coming after work from out-of-town (Although not yet mentioned on their website).

Hey Fellas, I believe the 3k is at 8pm. So Catts you might be able to slide down afterwards. I know the TCTC boys are going to go now that it is a little later on. SHould be lots of fun. Check the website for the latest update. www.torontotrack.com
