The man collapsed one kilometre from the finish line Sunday morning. Toronto Marathon founder Jay Glassman told a local radio station the man fell down around 10:45 a.m. EDT. He's believed to have been running the half marathon — 21 kilometres. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital by paramedics who tried to resuscitate him. The man's family has been notified but police have not released his name. About 10,000 runners from 32 countries are taking part in the 10th annual marathon.
