I guess this puts Alberta back in the top three.
Why were they not ranked coming into this race?

There was a mistake in the team scores. Alberta got 59 pts. putting them behind Manitoba. But I agree with above, why is it that even though for the past two years Alberta has been ranked like crap and gotten bronze, they were still not even taken into consideration this year?

Queens race
weather was raining, cold and WINDY, times were all slow
womens race: 1st: lisa labreque 2nd: beth wightman 3rd: leila angrad
team: 1st: York Lions...weren't expecting that one were you??? their normal 3rd runner was a DNF too
mens race: most teams didnt stay for the results because of the terrible weather but braden novakowski won
team: i'm not sure but i'd guess that queens won

yup, that's the same tim konoval. he wasn't happy at ccsu, so he transferred to pitt. they have a good recent history of producing fast 800-1000m types, but not much beyond that.

How is he eligible if he competed last year in xc for ccsu?

his coach must have given him a release, allowing him to compete at any other d1 school outside of their conference.
