The Senior boys' race started fast with Fisico, Dekker, Brett, Anderson, The Brunstings, Marcus Dillon, Mark Silvestre and a few others... That lead pack stayed together for quite a bit, with Joe Brunsting and Mark Silvestre trailing a bit behind (they eventually caught up). Fisico opened on Dekker half way through the race and looked very strong. Dekker then got caught by the rest of the pack including Dillon and M. Brunsting. With about 1.5km left, M. Brunsting looked very impressive and at one point he even looked like he could catch Fisico who was fading a little. But Fisico was too far ahead. Marcus closed on M. Brunsting again in the last km and took second with approx. 500m to go and didn't look back. It was a pretty good race and with the addition of Boorsma, Cury, Delmonte and others at OFSAA, we should have a very exciting race. After looking at the results I have a feeling the course might be shorter than 6920m. The results looked very fast for that distance. I guess it doesn't really matter. Good luck to everyone out there!

theres only two things that need to be known about the senior boys pre ofsaa race,
first....
Fisico was able to run away from dillon, brunsting, brett and dekker who were all potential contenders to win despite a heavy wind that could have been holding him back.
but second.....
dillon and m. brunsting closed a lot of the gap that fisico had opened in the last k of the race and im sure both of there coaches are letting them know that they were right there
it should be an interesting ofsaa to follow up a great race at pre ofsaa!!!!!
