Who will win the team championship at BC Cross? The almight Kajaks? The Valley Royals? Hershey Harriers? Or someone else?
Discuss....

Micheal, the race is going to be up front. Didn't you read the line-up? The team of Peninsula Runners is looking for a 7th man who would like to join them in the lead pack. There will be a race(5km) at Jericho on Tuesday the night before the weekend. This race will select the 7th member of the best team ever assembled in BC Cross Country history.
Early list of entries will be posted later by Jerry Tighe.

I think the Pennisula Runner's team might be the best team ever assembled. This team should have their top 5 in within the first 10 spots at Nats. My bet is that they'll win National XC by a landslide. I am sure they'll be the team that ends the Speed River Dynasty!

Unless this race is in the deep end of the pool at Oak Bay rec. center... Peninsula Runners doesn't stand a chance!

Let's see, last year Milne was 15th, Johnston was 18th and Kiauka was 30th. Corbitt didn't make the BC team (DNF at provincials) and Hood, well Hood got his ass handed to him by Osaduik, Polisi and Kevin O'Connor (!) on Leg 4 of HH. Maybe Fountain and the Kenyan will do well, if they can avoid getting dragged down by all the bad karma.

Triple H... bring it on! I guarantee you that you'll finish behind Kiauka, Milne, Hood, Johnston, Fountain and the Kenyan at BC's! How dare you deny the quality of this team! You just wish you were good enough to be asked to run with them!

Here's how Peninsula Runners wins Nationals. First off, they host a party Nov 5th that hopefully lands some (or at least one) of their competitors in the hospital. Add Jon Brown. Don't run Milne. Milne's best asset to the team will be running a smoke machine at the 180 turn and letting all the rest of the runners miss the turn completely. Break into BC athletics records to get Nicholas and the Aussie registered 6 months before Nats (might as well do this for Jon Brown too since he's not a Canadian til after Nats). Get Kiauka outta the Upstairs Cabaret. Have Hood Not run a marathon a month before Nats. Tell O'Brien "just kiddin' dude, you're a 10k guy again" or if Milne tells him "Unbelievable! O'Brien, you thought you were a 1500m runner? Wake up and run a 10k you slasher! YOUR (as opposed to you're) OUTTA HERE!" Get Paul Williams some HGH to bring him back a few years. But if Peninsula Runners really wants to win they need the MEEKER. You need the lasagna eatin', stretch preachin', dog walkin', shit talkin', workout draftin', spandex wearin', Jon Cookin', hair growin', three fourty three-in', one fouty six-in', and did I say stretch preachin'?, Hungarian. nuff said Bubbs

You just wish you were good enough to be asked to run with them! Wow, you know it's a tough day when you're getting insulted by members of the 4H club. I never said I was better than any of those guys, I just took issue with their self-coronation as the "best team ever". Maybe this will prove to be true, but it certainly isn't supported by anything they've done in the past couple years. Speed River, on the other hand, had 4 of the top 14 at nationals last year. That's 4 guys that have to turn around in the chute in order to watch Milne finish.

Oh yeah, and if I was asked to run with them, I'd probably decline. I've got enough bad karma as it is.

Actually they didn't get a chance to turn around and watch Milne run through the chute because they were busy clearing the path from the momentum he had put together in the final slight downhill stretch towards the finish.
