Thanks Saskatchewan.
I should also have mentioned that there will be the Edmonton International Track Classic happening on the evening of Sat June 12th. Distance events so far tentatively include a mens and womens 800m, a laides 1500m and a mens 5000m devil takes the hindmost race. If you are interested in coming out for just this meet (I won't be too offended) please contact Rob Connors at Athletics Alberta.
There is also the CALTAF track classic the following weekend down in Calgary so you if are coming out from the east and want to extend your trip a bit you could also tie that meet in. Full schedule of events run by Jason Lindsay at CALTAF.
Any questions, fire me an e-mail and even if I can't answer, i can put you in touch with someone that can.

Any "Elites" entered in the Beer Mile yet? I like RonB's chances, but Maser could be tough if you served Okanagan wine...

That would be more like a "chunder mile "then.

So... If the rules were that you had to fire back a quick dozen brews, before the start, let's say within an hour, and then find your way to the finish line, I think I might OTP... Am I carded yet?

ronb - Carding? Funny you should mention that! I believe that AC DOES have carding criteria for this "identified event group". Of course, none other than Les G will determine whether or not you qualify, based on the stringent criteria. In the words of Head Coach AG, "there will be NO toursits!". Also, in province with a legal age of 19, NO 18 year olds will be carded at the D level. Those athletes must relocate to a province that has a NHPBMC (National High Performance Beer Mile Centre).
Men - Beer Mile 18 19 20 - 22 26 26 27 28+ A Standard 8 beers 9 beers 10 beers 12 beers 14 beers 18 beer B Standard 6 beers 7 beers 8 beers 12 beers 14 beers 18 beer C Standard 4 beers 5 beers 6 beers 12 beers 14 beers 18 beer D Standard 1 beer 2 beers 3 beers 12 beers 14 beers 18 beer
NCAA Carding will require a MINIMUM of A standard since these athletes can drink in the summer and don't have to worry about classes like the CIS athletes do. CIS athletes will be required to undergo a MANDATORY mid-season review of their carding at: Conference XC after-party, CIS XC after-party, CIS T&F Conference after-party and CIS T&F after-party. Also, these athletes can expect unannounced checks by AC Centre Staff at ANY time during the season to make sure that they are in compliance with the Beer Mile Coding Regulations. AC is strongly committed to Owning the Podium in this event

subfour, Please don't get me started on the "there will be no tourists" bullshit... Oooops - too late Sad to say that a very, very few think that athletes that have trained and raced for years and years, and have become the best, or amongst the very best in Canada, and have achieved International qualifying standards, can be dismissed as "tourists"... Pathetic, really --- even more pathetic is that those people still have jobs...
