Thought a few of you might be interested in this paper by researchers at Eastern Michigan University, which takes Sully's logs from 2000 to 2006 and subjects them to detailed mathematical analysis: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19910822 That's just the abstract. I've posted a few details from the study itself, along with one of the more interesting graphs, here: sweatscience.com/?p=666Basically, the study is looking for correlations between "training load" and performance, where training load is expressed as a function of how long you run at what pace each day. (The scale is normalized such that an all-out one-hour run counts as 100. Sully averages 50-55 throughout the year. During base-building, he averages over 60, with some days over 100.) But what's more interesting, to be honest, is simply to look at how he structures his years, how the load varies over days, months and years, and how the race performances fit with the attempts to peak.

krs1,
not sure if you noticed but on another thread (BMI in the title) there is a discussion (heated one at that) on nutrition, any chance you could weigh in on the discussion and comment on your views regarding nutrition, also if possible list your typical daily food intake
Thanks
P.S. any chance that you might focus on the 5km this season (possible for Commonwealth games)?
