Although we are primarily a distance runner driven forum, I thought it should be noted that something unusual is happening at London Legion-Great field event performances which almost certainly means great coaching. A boy jumped 2:14 on the weekend and a girl vaulted 3:63. She was actually way over 3:73 but hit it coming down, so 4:00 is in her future. Another guy had a very good hurdle time. So congratulations coaches and athletes. The other great results from BMJ were the female 200 runners. Several very good times at all ages. It would be nice to see this group progress to the 23 second range over the next two years.

Alysha Newman is a very impressive pole vaulter for her age. IMO, she has the size, speed and agility to be very good.
