I think CIS will finish up like this: C.M., Thorson, A.P., Novakowski, Hunter, Nissen (is he running), Chafe.
Them's my predictions.

AP won rookie of hte year last year and hes been running stud so far in the TRI's.. I really can't see how anyone can beat him, he would have to have a real real bad day.

So the Guelph boys are racing in Oregon thsi weekend? I know AP is a solid runner I think he will be top 7- top 5 if lucky. I still put Thorson as their lead man. come CIS, Western was his first real x-country race in 2 years and his last 400 was smoking. A few more races and a DST taper he should be flying when it counts. Windsor is racing in Chicago, I still think those boys will be up there, mid way thourgh the season and one rough race except C.M. give them 7 weeks they will all be up there........................ however i still like
AP the Spaceman for prez!!!!!!

the space suit is crazy man...I love it...and it helps with wind reduction and warmth...I predict he doesnt wear it..and still runs his tail off..Dont forget this might be the only athlete in the field with international experience, and he knows what it feels like to lose by a fraction of a second and now hes gonna want it more and more and more...... AP FOR PREZ!!! Only runner with international experience eh... well obviously you don't know the rest of the runners in the field do you... Brandon Yonge, Braden Nova, Christano Muricio, Thorson, Gillis the list goes on man... do some research before you write...

Hold on Hold on. All this trash talk - why? What really matters is just who is this tall tanned blonde at guelph? I was under the impression U of T had the hottest bitches - the Ristuccia women have consistently remained at the top in this category. Is there a new champion?!

It is NOT the Guelph guys who are pumping up AP as the future CIS champ on this site. Although we have confidence in AP's ability to perform well at CIS we don't come on here saying he will win. Someone is trying to put pressure on AP, well its not going to work.
AP's spacesuit, friggin' hilarious! but don't talk trash about him behind some fake name. And about him being a homo cause of the suit...
well, thats AP's girlfriend....

OK lets be serious...these are my betting odds of winning the race
AP-50%...last years rookie of the year has garnered international fame in triathlons and will lead the resurgence of the guelph gryphons. The only questions is whether he wears a hood on the space suit for added warmth.
Mauricio-0%..not enough CIS experience
KOZIARSKI-10% hes rounding into form
Neil Dietrich-30%..talksa big game..one of these times he will put it all together.
Booth-10%- lots of CIS experience..hes got the big one waiting

I don't really know possibly next year... and 2. Yeah I wasn't sure about Gillis, so I just threw it out there... either way there are a but load of guys with international experience other than AP... But hey experience doesn't mean all that much anything can happen and good luck to AP and everyone else...

I'm gonna put the bullseye on brandon young..
Does anyone else think the 3K champ from track and a top 5 XC finisher from last year can win it all in XC this year?
I heard he promised victory as a wedding gift to his wife, and that the romanian midget jonny b can do 18 girl pushups

those rankings mean nothing... everyone knows it's going to windsor in first, and prob guelph second...but windsor has way too much depth and talent for anyone to touch them.

Didn't the toba women handily beat the dino's over the weekend?? The rankings above seem a little skewed.

Speaking of Dalhousie Women and their top rankings. How in the hell is Hilary Burn still eligible. There was controversy that last year she was ineligible and she ended up racing. Are the folks at Dal really this stupid??

Well "easy win" if you have such a problem with the rankings why dont you talk to your coach's becuase clearly thats who decide the rankings. ask your coach who he voted for..might just have been guelph...

yeah, I think Hilary Burn ran in the states for 4 years, and somehow got a year last year with Dal (which should've been against the rules) and now she is running again?--somehow getting a 6th year?
what's going on there?
Doesn't make sense to me...

For those of you who haven't seen the latest coaches poll, here it is: Men's Rankings Top 10 Points 1 Guelph (Univ. of) 97.5 2 Windsor (Univ. of) 80.0 3 Manitoba (Univ. of) 75.0 4 Victoria (Univ. of) 61.3 5 Western Ontario 60.0 6 Dalhousie Univ. 35.0 7 Queen's Univ. 32.5 8 Calgary (Univ. of) 26.3 9 Alberta (Univ. of) 16.3 10 Waterloo (Univ. of) 15.0 Women's Rankings Top 10 Points 1 Guelph (Univ. of) 92.5 2 Calgary (Univ. of) 77.5 3 Western Ontario 75.0 4 Manitoba (Univ. of) 70.0 5 Dalhousie Univ. 62.5 6 Victoria (Univ. of) 55.0 7 Toronto (Univ. of) 42.5 8 McGill Univ. 21.3 9 York Univ. 20.0 10 Queen's Univ. 10.0 I will hereby put out the call for round two of predictions for the peoples poll. those rankings mean nothing... everyone knows it's going to windsor in first, and prob guelph second...but windsor has way too much depth and talent for anyone to touch them. they are being ranked that way because if you look at the results that the 2 schools have put up so far, it looks as if Guelph could end up putting their 7th guy ahead of windsor's 5th, maybe even their 4th. I'm not saying that that's what WILL happen, I'm saying the reults indicate it as being potential, and I believe that is why the teams are being ranked as such.

No we are not stupid. Hilary ran 3 years in the US. She then came to dal for her three year law degree sitting out her first year as a transfer and then using her last two years of eligibility. If she was to use four years at ND then she would be inelgible.

Post by CIS RULER on Oct 6, 2004 5:20:19 GMT -5
The CIS rules on eligibility are about 50 pages long. I don't understand them but I do know that Hilary was cleared by a CIS eligiblity officer before she ever wore a Tiger uniform. That's an official CIS ruling. There is no eligibility issue here, just some ill-informed people making fools of themselves on TnF - hardly a first. Dal's got a great program: give them some credit.
I'll put Dal in the top five on both my lists:
Women: Calgary Guelph Western Dal Manitoba
Men: Windsor Guelph Manitoba Dal Victoria

Well thank god...now that clears everything I always thought only five guys scored I didn't know they changed to rule to seven...but you have to admit if the rules were still at five guelph wouldn't stand a chance especially the way AP is running.

if guelph puts 7 in front of windsows 5th guy that means that windsors 5th guy will be gettin an asswhoopin and that would be why they would be getting ranked low. if guelph has 7 that are faster than windsors 5th, then that also means that guelph has a pretty damn strong team. why do people care about these rankings so much anyways? all that counts is race day.
