We were sitting around last night and wondering about the order of the team in Ackron. What would you guys do? 10k,5,10,5,12.2. are the lenght of the legs. You have Morrison, Staples, Milne, Mckenzie, Smith, or Johston to choose from.
Go!

Its a toss up between Smith and Staples for the anchor leg. Both seem to be quite equally fit. We'll see what happens.

Final order: Morrison, McKenzie, Johnston, Milne, Smith
I agree that it was toss up for the last spot but this is a tough break for Staples, who beat Smith head-to-head at Don Mills. I can't fault Smith because it was not his decision to make, only point out that it was his own coach who made the final decison. Either way the team remains solid.
Good luck guys!!

The momentum from that extra 10lbs. won't help Milne uphill! Quick, switch him to a downhill leg!

Hey get off the computer and get to work!!!!
The mexicans switched their order at the last minute. Galvin injured and another guy has a sore hamstring. We got it locked up. Good team bonding last night at the Drink.

It's Official! We got killed!!!!!!!!! Almost 6 full minutes behind the Mexicans and Americans. We did just dip in under 2:12 though (maybe if Jon Brown gets his citizenship we could just send him next year). Hope you guys enjoyed the free trip and spending $. Next year, if you're not ready to run, don't ask for a place on the team!

Ya we know we took it on the chin but there was a train wreck in the middle of Paul's legs. The America and Mexican got through but Paul had to help look for survivors! It was an incredible show of human spirit. We got the Hunamity Award. That explains the first minute we lost.
Ryan was attacked by a defrocked Irish Priest. It was very similiar to the Olympics and Dan Browne was quick to defend Ryan since he had been the best to explain the incident.
Matt was running strong and hunting down Browne but the American spotter told Matt to go the wrong way. He had to make up a huge gap.
I just charged up the hill and stopped at all the GU stations. I had heard so much about GU that I had to try it and I was also able to pocket a few for the store!
Smith just ran all along after the other guys got a nice time trial for himself.
But we would all like to ask you this "Akron Results" guy. Who else was Ath Can supposed to send? As we were getting killed and we were all at the finish we asked each other if there was something we could have done differently--we figured an order change wouldn't have helped. We figure nothing could have changed the result. It's the time of year that kills us because we don't have the depth.
Not to mention the only reason the US killed us was because Dan Browne ran like a champ and made up 45 seconds on the Mexican and pulled ahead 10. It was incredible.
PS thanks for the encouragement "Results Guy". Get bakc to work and hit the numbers. Oh by the way what Money did we waste. The value of the women's nike shorts they gave us!

They're still giving us womens shorts!!! Unbelievable.
The race was available to MANY people who qualified through the different selection pools. If it wasn't for the guys who ran today then Canada would have been even slower. We simply don't have the depth of the US, so instead of complaining about the results, "Akron Results," go out and train and help the country out.
