The fact is that he is ranked 9th in the CIS in the 3K, and he has to run in the OUA conference meet, in order to compete in 3K at the CIS. And he has 4 teammates ranked in front of him so he cannot compete in the 3K at OU's. So he has to run another event for him to be able to run in two weeks at the CIS championship.
Basically what i am saying is that its a flaw in the system.

should be a stressful weekend for him... zero canwest athletes and zero qssf athletes ranked ahead of him. That puts him 12th.
