I predict Canada will get 33 medals; distributed in 14 gold,8silver,11bronze. Mens Hockey: Gold-Canada, Silver-Russia, Bronze-Sweden. Canada 3-2 over Russia in gold medal game with Crosby scoring the winner with 5mins left in the 3rd on a beautiful pass from St. Thomas' Joe Thornton and Ovechkin will weep. EH O CANADA GO

And with that you have exposed yourself as an imposter of Canadian hockey fans. That cheer died a quiet death in Saskatchewan. Real fans don't let a Pepsi marketing campaign change tradition and dictate how they cheer. Go Canada Go.

If anyone is going to be in Vancouver you might want to check out "Mizuno House". 1006 mainland in yaletown on the other side of the street from the Keg.
"Mizuno House" has a facebook page as well.

I'm going to be in Vancouver from the 13-23rd. I'm probably going to hit up the VFAC workout next Saturday (20th), and maybe the UBC long run on Sunday (but I'm not sure if I even know anybody in that group anymore...)
Any other runs/workouts going on? Are there any races? I would not mind testing my fitness in above zero temperatures. Looking forward to it not being winter.

I'm sure you'd be more then welcome at our UBC workouts-good group of guys to run with. I'm not sure about the frequency due to the Olympics, but I can send you the workout times etc if you would like. And LR might even be in the same place it was ... xx amount of years ago. Can't complain with workouts in shorts and a nice balmy 10 degrees coming up.

Marek told me Pacific Spirit Park on Sunday at 9:30. Probably not this weekend, but next weekend ya. Send me a PM with workout times during the week, I might be interested in going (but it'll depend on Olympic events, too).
Thanks.

Real fans don't let a Pepsi marketing campaign change tradition and dictate how they cheer. Go Canada Go. You are right on the cheer gtown; I definitely prefer "Go Canada Go" and otherwise never consider the eh o; but I had just watched that outrageous Diet Pepsi Max Super Bowl commercial a few times in an attempt to understand exactly where Pepsi was coming from with that crock of shit, so Pepsi was in the back of my mind...

a.) The cheer irritates the hell out of me. Go Canada go, is all we need. b.) Wyatt IS racing in Van. c.) Anytime you visit the metropolis of Vancouver, always think about a lovely 90 minute ocean cruise to Victoria.

Anyone with a life will be at the Hieneken house- from open till close. as well as any inkhouse events including benny benassi and the free concerts that are being put on by Deadmau5, Alexisonfire, damian marley, and Sam roberts band. Oh yeah and billy talent is performing as well.
Granville st= chaos and full of hot drunk chicks stumbling around after a night of excessive driunking. ya eh?

Wow, the Olympic Torch is creating a lot of emotion on the streets of Vancouver, and here at my place as well. Live on CTV all day, with the Ceremonies starting at 5:45, Pacific time. It's a good day to be a Canadian, eh...
