Hi Guys This isn't really a running post but I directed and produced this Helix - Make em Dance music video!! Featuring a Canada's Next Top Model winner!! Rebecca Hardy and a legendary Canadian 80's heavy metal band. It was shot on a $0 budget no-one gets paid, I am just doing this for exposure of my work so help me out!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjeqnS8B2ycI think the video and song are decent and stand on their own merit so it won't be a waste of 3min to watch. Most of you know me anyway. Feel free to rate and comment on the video, my goal is 50k views. Also constructive criticism is good too if you didn't like it. If you really liked it pass it on. Thanks Francis

Francis,
That was an awesome video, if you would have said $50, 000 I might have gone with it - for ZERO!! Wow.
I like the stage level view. I like how the band gets into it with energy. I don't know if you did that as a Director or they are just into it.
The genre is hilarious, fun pop-hair band quazi metal, but you capture that quite nicely.
Nice work.

All I want to know is... what kind of pissy light beer were they pouring into the Guinness glass near the end? Uncool... Ugly bunch of mugs in that band, and I'll be honest I would have expected them all to be dead. Maybe some of the original band members are. Still, I agree with wetcoast... some energy and maybe a bit of irony. Kinda fun. Good luck.

Thanks Wetcoast and lol @ PQ. A lot of people told me afterwards that I should of taken that beer out, too much foam haha, I am not a huge beer drinker at bars so didn't know:( ... Maybe it can be made symbolism that the people at the bar love the song / dancing so much and are too drunk to notice their crappy beers being served Also yeah this band is pretty old, this is actually almost the original line up back together again after falling out badly almost 20 years ago!! Now they all get along and are just kind of enjoying the reunion instead of all the crazy tension. I must say their old videos are pretty cool though with their $120,000 budgets. Oh I forgot to mention on top of $0 budget the band was pushing us to finish fast so we shot in one weekend and edited in about one week on top of school and other work. Probably up there with the fastest developing of a $0 budget music video in history.

Thanks Username. The view rate has slowed quite a bit. But things are in motion to get better. BTW look for some athlete video profiles of some familiar names coming to the world wide web later this year hehe.
I wouldn't mind glamorizing the sport a bit if I can do anything with my video equipment.
