Aloha Running Community,
I will keep this short and sweet. The University of Hawaii is hosting a sunset meet on Friday February 5th, 2010. I have spoken with the meet director, and we have agreed that the men will run a Mile and the women a 5000m.
I am looking to bring out 3-5 men to run the Mile and 3-5 women to run the 5000m depending on funding, etc.
Qualifications for the men: The top 3-5 applicants with a minimum of 3:50 over 1500m.
Qualifications for the women: The top 3-5 applicants with a minimum of 17:00 over 5000m.
As of now, it looks as though I will be able to cover a round-trip flight (depending on where you are coming from) and a place to stay (crash).
There will be several athletes on the island completing the fields and I will do my best to ensure that each person who ventures out here experiences ALL that Hawaii has to offer.
