The Guelph course (hosted OUA's for 2 years in a row a few years ago and OTFA's last year and CI's this year) is at the Guelph Lakes Golf and Country Club. It's a 'links' style course and therefore has lots of hills and is constantly rolling. It's a 5km loop featuring a pretty long climb around the 1km mark and a pretty long climb up the 13th fairway around the 3km mark, but really rolling hills throughout. It's pretty viewer friendly, except from the 3rd to the 4th kilometer. (similar to Western).
In some ways it's a similar set-up to Western's Thames Valley course that has hosted a ton of CI's and the Western Int. every year. Someone who has raced at both locations could probbably give a better comparison than me, but I think the Guelph course could possibly be a 'bit' tougher, or at least equivalent.
Here are the all-time top 20 times recorded at Guelph Lakes Course (including post-collegians that raced at OTFA's last year). Of course only 3 championship races have ever been run on this course (unlike the 30 year tradition at Western), so these rankings aren't that deep.
Cheers, Trent

any chance trent that they'd be changing that spot about halfway through the loop where it is like downhill single file (pretty much) and then button-hooking back uphill?

To be honest, I really doubt it. The way the course is laid out on that golf course, there really isn't any other way around it...unless we totally revamp the entire course and race.
That 180 turn is a bit of a technical spot, and has become a little more technical now that they have paved that cart path where you need to actually make that turn (for the first two OUA races that path was still gravel and therefore in spikes much easier to turn without slipping). And it's about 2.3 km into the race, so things are a bit spread out by then anyways, and it's seriously only about 2-3 steps around that turn- so it's not that bad, plus everyone in the race does. No doubt it breaks up your rhythm a bit though, as it goes straight into an uphill.

the downhill is not paved, only the actual turn, so like Trent said, its only about 4 steps. You do have to slow down a bit. Its only 10 feet X 2 during a whole 10km race.

thanks
just asking that's all
when trent first said it - the thought going through my mind was that the corner was tight to begin with and having a paved part with guys on spikes would be like trying to run around a corner with ice on it.
just getting an idea haven't been to the guelph course in a while

I'm sure we'll see what that corner is going to be like on race day. I know that at last years OTFA meet, which was wet and muddy, that no one had any real issues with that corner.
If race day is wet and icy there, I'm sure we would put down some carpet on that corner.
