Jashaun Agosto. He already has had offers for basketball from UCLA and such. This spring he was 12 i believe and according to his dad was aiming for a 4:2x mile, but pulled out of the race at AAUs. They mention his Vo2 max is "through the roof" and higher than most professional athletes, but don't give a precise quantity, I would go out on a limb and say 60 ml/kg/min, as high as that is.

Pretty damn gifted, no doubt about it... Nice definition of VO2max at ~2:40 haha

Correct me if I'm wrong (and sorry for focusing on the wrong part of this post), but according to NCAA recruitment rules, schools can't contact you until grade 10.. So how does a 12 year old have offers?

So how does a 12 year old have offers? they sent his parents a letter. watch this video of him, where they talk about UClAs offer, his 4:40 mile at the time and his goal of breaking the mile age class world record www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aVDMrLI608

Stumbled upon this...
The high 80's is pretty crazy.
"11 yr old Jashaun Agosto ran a 1 mintue 400 meter, getting 1st place in the 12 yr old division. This Gold is in addition to the 1600 meter Gold he recieved in Arizona at a National Meet and 2 Golds in the 4 by 400 meter relay as the anchor leg. Jashaun is unique due to his VO2 max testing score of 66 as a 10 yr old. He is projected to be in the high 80's after puberty. He is in the top 5 Nationally in the 50 meter all the way up to the 1600 meter. 2008 is his first year running AAU Track."

Pretty fast no doubt.
There's something really weird about the way he runs though.
