Yeah Peter was a little choked I wasn't there, it definitely would have ended scandalously. Kerr hasn't worked at Strides for awhile, I might be the last hold out from the original staff. It opened right when I moved to Calgary. The road relays out here are awesome, kind of like a cross country team but only way more fun. I would love to get a team of Westerners out to run Cabot Trail, it is almost as epic as K-100. Nothing really compares to running a road relay on the highest engineered road in North America however, usually in blistering heat on really challenging routes. Any easterners willing to come out here to race K-100 I would be more than happy to find accomodation for if they wanted to see the sights of Calgary. My only prerequisite is that you come ready to race hard and play hard after.

Congrats to Matt for an exciting series this year! ( You should join his facebook group )
Matt IS changing the face of the RR and deserves a lot of praise for a well run series, we need a HHH here in Ontario! We need to step it up . The RR motivates many people and could flush out some ol' runners of the not so far past, time to cut them a little slack.. At worst, they are making our society a healthier one..

I would love to get a team of Westerners out to run Cabot Trail, it is almost as epic as K-100. Last year Windsor Lancers alum won Cabot and almost set the course record, beating the team from Maine that has dominated the last few years. This year there are rumours of a "Centre of the Universe"-based team going after it. It would be fun to have a few more teams at a high level. And then a re-match in Alberta in July. Sounds like an excellent opportunity for cross-cultural exchange.

Thanks for the all support guys, just trying to do my part to make running in Canada a bit better and hopefully raise the standards of our athletes by providing better opportunities. I figured I do so much complaining about AC that I might as well start to just do something about it!
Of course a lot of what I have done wouldn't be possible without the support of great sponsors so the next time you are heading out to pick up a pair of shoes, please consider Saucony and the RR...
