Where is Ofsaa this year? And who are some big guns? Who is strong moving up from junior? this thread was started early but in prime time now Ofsaa is in Midland again. Moving up from Junior? Ian Holstead (6th gr. 9, 1st gr. 10) Adam Birosh (1st gr.9, 3rd gr. 10, ranked #1 juvenile boys o-cup in 09) Eli Heyden-Thomas (4th gr. 10) Nick Monette (2nd gr.9, ranked #2 juvenile boys o-cup in 09) *if hes not skiing only club* Tristan Woodfine (3rd gr.9, 5th gr. 10, abysmal technique, haha jokes bud) Davis Ross (22nd gr. 9, 6th gr. 10) Ian Wolfe (23rd gr. 9, 10th gr. 10) look to be the stronger skiiers moving up

Well I thought since it was so popular with running i'd try and make some top 5 lists
senior boys top 5.
Peter Biesel Nick Monette Patrick Skelton Matt Brown Adam Birosh
Junior Boys top 5
1. Scott Hill 2. Eli Hayden-Thomas 3. Gavin Shields 4. Matt Druken 5. Ryan Atwood
Senior Girls top 5 1. Julie Sheppard 2. Molly Dyon 3. Meg Sinclair 4. Holly Jones 5. Erin Yungblut
there is a strong chance my predictions are inaccurate but i thought i'd give it a shot given my little knowledge of the best nordic skiiers in highschool.
Side note to all the tristan woodfine fans: His technique will ultamitly be his demise in the 9km senior boys course. I would not expect a 3 sport ofsaa medalist out of him this year unless this has improved. However after the gold medal at ofsaa cross country, i'd say he's capable of almost anything

oh ya and by the way no way st mikes is taking the title in sb, they lost their top 4 from last years relay and long distance race championship team with a bunch of weak gr 11s filling in their spots, they have no chance

Even if she's back, I highly doubt eating all you can eat buffets for almost half a year would put her in any shape to compete for a medal.

Performance lists are now up zone4.ca/results.asp?id=2850For those wondering how they order the starters in each race, the school coaches are required to rank there respective skiiers from 1(being slowest) to 5(being fastest). The slower skiiers go out first followed by faster skiiers, the fastest go out last.

that depends though. i usually ask my coach to rank me low, so i go out early, and the trails are less chewed

First or not, by the time they get to senior boys the trails are already shredded to shits due to the midgit girls who only joined skiing to impress the hormonal dudes by wearing spandex.

OFSAA Nordic went really well. Although the snow conditions were terrible, we still saw some excellent performances.
