Best Weather/Climate - UVic (+8 everyday) Best Training Conditions - Uvic (moderate climate - outdoor training on outdoor track) Best Indoor Track - U of M (fast banked track)
Worst Weather/Climate - U of M, U of R, U of S, U of A (-30 everyday, -45 windchills) Worst Training Conditions - U of C, Lethbridge (no Indoor track) Worst Indoor Track - U of R (the lighting is depressing)

I'll agree with you on the best climate predictions, but you have to see this place when we get snow... we had about 5inches a few weeks ago and there was nowhere to train except indoors on treadmills...
and why are all the tracks and such from the west? I'm sure there are either some good or bad tracks out east (of Manitoba)

Yeah, what about the maritimes. No official size track at Dal or Moncton. No track at X. The only 200m track is at CFB Gagetown, and they don't allow us to have a real conference meet there.
AUS Champs is always at Moncton on a 167m unbanked 4-lane track. And the Dal team trains and hosts some meets on a 260m, 2-lane, 16-sided track (yes, that's right, no straight-away, all turns all the time).
So, people on the prairies have it easy. 'cause even though it's cold, at least you have a real track to train on.

Though we are experiencing rain at the moment, we don't get quite as much rain as Vancouver. We rarely see the sun nowadays. It's a good thing though, there are no indoor tracks in BC as far as I know...

McGill has the best indoor facilities. Windsor has the best non-banked indoor facility.

for one of the worst tracks, how bout copps coliseum when they put their indoor one in ?
anyone ever run there? its only about 146m i think and it's basically just boards connected, being completely hollow underneath so it rattles like crazy when numerous ppl run on it.
i dunno many other indoor facilities but i cant see this one being ranked far from the lowest of the low

I loved that track.... wish I could run on it one more time... it kinda sucked, but it was also kinda bouncy. I remember once there was a pole vault mat halfway into lane 1 for the 300's. Fun times. No one trains on that anyway...

Ok I may be biased pretty badly but I will say UofM is the best indoor track by far.
as for the worst...have any of you ever tried to race in Thunder bay on Lakeheads track...166.66m of hell..its basically cement..4 lanes..lanes 3-4 are banked..lane 1 and part of 2 is not. Horrible place!
as for climate...manitoba or sask have it far worse than any other...like fuck its been -52 for the last 3 days!!
I have never been to victoria but I do like thier climate.

Copps coliseum is an awsome track in my mind. sure, it might not be that fast, but the warm up area (the concourse level) is awsome and racing on that track is alot of fun. I also don't think there's a single track in Canada with as much history as that one for holding big time meets.
UofA has a decent track in that they have a huge seating area for hosting meets.

McGill has a nice (and fast) indoor track. Yorkton, Sask has one of the worst indoor tracks. It is about 130m around and once you get in lane two nobody can pass you on the inside or outside because of the corners.
