Figure we should get some Nats predictions going. Here goes
800 1)Reed 2)Elerton- bit of a suprise over Tadili but Tadili hasn't been duking it out with competition and may have trouble seeing a runner ahead of him. 3)Tadili
1500 1)Sully 2)Cantin- was ahead of Mckenzie at HJ but got rolled up in the last 100 3)Mckenzie big weekend for RMAC as the leaders of the era come to the fore (see 5k)
5k 1) McKenzie- in 2008 he will be an Olympic Finalist 2) Coolsaet-always steps up in big races can he match RMACs finish 3) Morrison- REALLY HOT early has cooled off a bit of late, although cooling off is 13:35
S/C 1)Matty Kerr- defends title from last year unfortunately there will likely be no Canadian Olympians above 1500 on the mens side 2) Joel- consistant 3)Milne- could be the winner of Nats for about the next 5 years
LADIES 1)Cummings- no comment 2)Tetteris 3)Ali-Khan-will be tight between her an Aimee for 2nd
1500 1)Elmore- wow WILL be the first Canauck woman under 4:00. 2)Douma- world indoor silver medalist has been quiet of late, as she preps for nats 3)KVM-this is the deepest event and will be for years to come as KVM, Elmore, Inman, Edmonson and Metcalfe are all young and talented
5k 1)Mondor 2)Demissie- the ethiopian Canadian could challenge Mondor in the coming years 3)Babcock- seems to have had quite a fall from her form of last year
thats all lets hear your picks

McKenzie won't be running the 1500m and the 5000m because there are heats in the 1500, even though the heats could give him some aerobic refreshment. Chris Winter will be a force to reckon with in the future as he has been stretching very well lately. Perhaps Hayden could be in the 1500m top 3 as he's been eating green lasagna. Setterington has the strength, and you must have the strength. Babcock wasn't too much faster at this point last year, there's still time. I have been saying all along, plyos, plyos, plyos.....we will see who has been doing their plyos in april this weekend.

My prediction for the race ryan runs. He opens with a 48 second 400..
then everyone catches him and he shows once again that he cant run in the lead, so he falls back to about 10th..and runs an amazing 23.1 final 200 to pass 5 meaningless competitors. Just enough to say..what if he could keep that 48second opening lap pace up for the entire race!! but not enough to say hes an olympian.
Go CANTIN!!

Don't associate Cantin with your S.H.it "StarsAnd Stripes".
