"UNBELIEVABLE!!! Hicham El Guerrouj is beaten for the first time since the Sydney Olympic Games final!!! He drifts back into about 8th place, not seeming to even care to fight for victory!!!" "Ramzi Rashid of Bahrain is the shock winner in a very fast time of 3:30.26. This is an historic day, for it's the first time that El Guerrouj is beaten (apart from the Olympics) since 1997 in the 1500m!!!" eurosport.com In a post race interview he complains about getting elbowed numerous times and dirty tacticts used by his competitors. What is more impressive is that Nick Willis ran 3:32.68. I guess he finally has his A-Standard and Warhurst has someone who could break the Collegiate record in maybe every distance from 1500-5000m. Also Sully is rounding nicely into form with a 3:34.43. I think he is peaking at the right time. Finally, Nate got B-standard and with good weather the men's 800m could see a National Record.
