People are already talking about it, so lets get some predictions.

i'd think u of s should be in there if u of a and u of m are.
with mccormick and scobie they should be well ahead of alberta, and about even with u of m (who right now may have a slight advantage because of how well jerma has ran early, and the emergence of hyr.....whoever).
how is mcgill's team this year, they ran well last year plus were young, have they lost lennox though?
i think mckenzie and bourke give their team the advantages though, as those two have proven to be excellent CIS chapionship performers.

McGill always has a competitive team but I think there are 3 reasonable picks for the win: Windsor, Uvic, Guelph and Manitoba with the outside chance to sneak in there, so 4 picks.

I can't imagine anybody beating out U Vic this year. They came so close to winning it last year, and it seems like all their guys are already running well right now.
Guelph definetly has a good team with bourke, desormeaux, armitage and possibly macauley (depending on how he's running) .... however, they lost sullivan from last year and none of their guys really stand out
Windsor has mackenzie, but beyond that their isn't much. Young can run a pretty fast 800, but the question is will he? Pye seems to have started running pretty well (1:23 in the 600), but I don't see them doing that well.
Manitoba seems to have a pretty damn good 4X8 team, with jerema running extremely well, and 3 other runners also running some pretty fast time. I can definetly see them challenging for a CIS medal
That is my input, beyond these teams, I don't see much

Dunbrack ran 1:52.89 in 2000 and doesn't have any nationally ranked times since. Thats quite a while ago.
As for predictions, I think the race is really UVic's to lose. In Seattle, Saqui and Kennedy set lifetime PBs in their respective races (Mile in 4:10, 600 in 1:20 respectively), while Babiuk ran within a second of his outdoor 800 pb (as opposed to 1:56.xx indoor best last season). Henderson ran a pretty damn respectable 1:22 for fourth man on the team and Rich Lehman clocking a 1:55 huge PB for alternate. I predict a sub-7:40 by the boys before the season's out.

The rosters for the Cougar and Huskie results are wrong:
-Joe Filson was the starter for the Cougars and handed off to Sandy Bain -Matt Fawcett was the starter for the 'A' team and handed off to Matthew Scobie -Jeff Rhinas was the starter for the 'B' team and handed off to Aaron Baynes -Devin Ritter was the starter for the 'C' team

Most of those teams are wrong. All the huskies teams are wrong. The "A" team for huskies was Fawcett, Scobie, Mcinnes, myself. For those wondering I believe Manitoba A was Fletcher, Kilcullen, Hrynkow, Jerema.

It looks like there will be a nice preview of a few of the top teams at CI's this weekend at Cargill with UVic, Windsor, and presumably Manitoba.. should be a good one to watch...

Looks as though Guelph has the upper-hand in the 4x800m this year. After-all they posted an early season 7:51, compared to Windsor's 7:52 last week in Findlay. OHHHHHHHHH, wait a second....That was Windsor's B team...That's right folks. Windsor's A team ran 7:45 in Cargill, while 4 COMPLETELY OTHER GUYS (Windsor B)missed CIS standard by a mere 2 seconds. And remember, the 4x800m and the 1k are run on the same day at CIS. This is where depth and fresh reserves will come to factor in. But as always, time will tell, and maybe someone else has another opinion......

... correct me if i'm wrong ... but I don't think that Guelph has lack of reserves either. I'm also thinking that Guelph's reserves are a lot stronger than the windsor reserves!

I look forward to Guelph's B team running a 7:51 this weekend at the Team Challenge, while Desy, Bourke, Armitage and Dunbrack sit back and watch.

With concern to RMAC, the individual who is posting comes from UVIC, if there is one more post under this name, the IP will be banned and you left coaster will be shit out of luck. Any questions?

Well, I can't say who "RMAC" is, but I know it's not me. I have spoken to a few people to pass the word around, so hopefully this will stop.
As for talk about the 4x800 with regards to Guelph, Windsor and B teams. Who cares what your B-Team runs? Yes, they are good times and all athletes involved have put some hard training in and maybe it should be recognized how fast they ran. All that matters in regards to the 4x8 is how fast teams run the day of CI's, which if I am not mistaken, is still more than a month away. Anything could happen. For all we know, some school may appear and run a team that goes 7:20 or something. I highly doubt that 7:45 will win it, and in fact I doubt that 7:45 will get silver. As for who wins it, I think that is still way up in the air. I guess we'll all find out soon enough though....

So, getting drunk on a Monday night is apparantly never a good thing. It was me who posted uner the user name "RMAC", and I appologize...To Ryan as well as the UVIC runners. I am not going to say my name, but I am not one of the UVIC 4X800 runners, nor will I be at CI's, or Canwest for that matter. I was just having a little "fun", which ended up with me embarassing myself as well as the UVIC team. So once again I appologise to Ryan, Chris, and the vikes runners.
sorry...

Pretty obvious based on the time of the post that it was a drunken left coast type...
