Haven't seen the official results but Letsrun.com has this posted in Bold letters on their homepage. This would be a world leading time and a victory over Korir, Lagat, and Ngeny. Pretty impressive. He seems to be racing a lot lately. Question is whether he's too fit too soon??

I think that is it for Webb, he is coming back to North America now to get ready for the Olympic Trials, he is running fantastic and what is more impressive is that he is in these races obviously, when he ran 3:53 he was in last for most of the race and then kicked through the field, now he is leading going into the bell. Although I still think Willis will beat him at the Olympics.
Bekele ran 26:20 at some point numbers like that just boggle the mind, he went through in 13:15 and picked it up to go 13:05 the last 5k, unfuckingreal.

I think that is it for Webb... I saw a post this morning that said he was on the entry list for Bislett. The Ostrava results will all be here eventually. The 1500 is missing as of now: www.zlatatretra.cz/online2004/re0130041.htmlDouma got her B.

Cragg will place well in the 5k, he seems to have peaking down to a science... Webb has been running very well, and I hope he can keep it up through the olympics, but my money is on good ol' Sully to beat Webb and at least medal, however i think both north americans will medal, hopefully a gold for Sully, Good luck guys

Here's a little more info on the breakdown of Bekele's record run. www.iaaf.org/GP04/news/Kind=2/newsId=25542.htmlCheck out his last 1km though. 2:21.96 That's freakin crazy. There are probably only a handful of guys in North America that can do that once and he does it at the end of a 10k. Simply amazing.

Maybe I am playing captain obvious here but if you read the article there is no way he closed in the 2:21 as stated. They talk about his last lap being so fast at 57point and for 2:21 he would have had to average faster than that. It was probably supose to be 2:31 as they said that at 8km he was 4 sec ahead of the old record pace.

Crazy!!!
Man Webb winning is absolutely nuts. I am not going to predict any future results simply because we all know anything can happen.
However, I am amazed the kid broke out again. I have never seen anyone (atleast in north america) carry so much pressure on his/her back for so long and not break. This kid needs a pat on the back, he is super young and dealing with pressures that many older athletes never have had to face. Shit if he had any type of average performance people talked smacked about him for months.
Bekele Performance was sickening! To imagine that you would have to break the Canadian Record back to back to stay with him at all... how old is he? just curious?

I also thought Daniel Lincoln had a very nice run in the 3k steeple good to see a north american so far up in the steeple...
and to break the world record and win by 33 sec is just sick... if only he had someone to run with... just to push him, just imagine...

8:17 is awesome. Does anyone know what his previous best was in the steeple?
