Tha is by far the most amazing thing I have ever heard of in my life. A 17 year old kid running 19.93. I'd like to hear a better feat by a kid at that age.

To make this more applicable to many of the distance types that browse this site, here are the Mercier conversions of 19.93 for 200m. Mind you Mercier Scoring doesn't mean its correct but it is interesting to consider how fast this time is based on Mercier.
200m = 19.93 400m = 43.98 800m = 1:42.65 1500m = 3:29:35 Mile = 3:46.18 3000m = 7:26:99 3000sc = 8:05:33 5000m = 12:53:16 10000m = 27:04:01 Marathon: 2:06:04
Pretty incredible for a 17 year old

Last year after watching him run at World Youth, I thought Bolt would medal at the World Champs, now I think he is definetly a medal threat at the Olympics and he is only a Juvenille, unreal. The man is a beast 6'5, I will not be suprised to see him break MJs 200 and 400 records, he actually at that height will probably be a better 400 runner. How many 400 meter runners in the history of the world have run under 20, my guess 1. Of the men who have broken 44 Reynolds PB 20.40 Quincy Watts 20.5 Danny Everret 20.08 Lee Evans 20.40 Steve Lewis 20.58 (the WJR record holder 43.87 won the olympics at 19!!!!! over 400) Larry James no info not under 20 seconds
Granted some of these men never focused on the 200 but the fact remains that only Everret was even remotely close.

Actually, the rest of the world jr. records are either pretty close to the calcuated Mercier score or in some cases are even better than Bolt's 19.93.
Of course he's still a jeuv. and has several years to better his 200m time and who knows the 'actual' age of some of those kenyan 'juniors' below...
