Most people are probably like its to late for an april fools day joke, but this is serious. It was the first annual throwers vs. distance runners 4x800m. To even out the odds the distance runners had to carry the throwers 35 lbs weight while they had a baton. The race was finished in an amazing 11:14 with the distance runners taking the event by 9 seconds. Average split is 2:48. The 11:14 is an official [glow=red,2,300]TEXT[/glow] because we feel pretty confident that this even had never been run before.
The race was huge team builder as the track was lined with spectators to either chear on team skinny or team chubby.
The race was video taped and will be posted onto the net for everyone to get a good laugh at. One of the highlights of this event had to be my finishing form which was reduced to an uncomfortable looking walk over the last 100m. On a personal note my shoulder is quite a large bruise.
