I think this york meet will be a lot better than the U of T meet held the day before. The U of T meet is a really low key meet every year; York is probably your best bet for a good meet to run

I think this york meet will be a lot better than the U of T meet held the day before. The U of T meet is a really low key meet every year; York is probably your best bet for a good meet to run I'd like to know on what basis you make this claim that the all-comers at York is a higher key meet than the U of T Nike Classic. Just a quick comparison of results from last year's meets (they weren't even overlapping last year, York on the 19th and U of T on the 25th). 3000 men's: York winning time 9:14, U of T 9th place 8:56 women's: York winning time 10:31, U of T 4th place 10:14 1500 men's: York winning time 4:09, U of T 7th place 4:08 women's: York winning time 4:47, U of T 3rd place 4:43 800/1000 men's: York winning time 2:02, U of T 7th place 2:34 (equivalent to about 1:59) women's: York winning time 2:23, U of T winning time 3:00 Obviously, distance is better at U of T. So let's try the sprints. 60m men's: York winning time 7.01 with 7 under 7.22, U of T winning time 7.02 with 7 under 7.37 women's: York winning time 7.72 with 4 under 8.00, exact same for U of T 200/300 men's: York winning time 22.79 with 9 under 24, U of T winning time 36.80 with 13 under 38. women's: York winning time 24.93 with 5 under 27, U of T winning time 39.28 with 10 under 43. Looks like sprints are pretty well even (especially considering the number of people who won at both meets).

... I guess I was a little hasty. I can admit when I am wrong .... and I was wrong (really wrong). The only reason that I said that is because everybody that I talk to tells me that York is a better track meet ... guess they are wrong

Since all the info is on the OTFA site for the Jan. 25 meet at York, I doubt they will post seeds before the race. You won't get to check things out til you get to the meet and see what's posted on the walls of the track.
