Hey guys, I was about to go for a nice easy off-day run last night in the cold. However, my friends were telling me how bad it was to go out running in the cold. they told me that it is really bad for your lungs. they say that the alveoli in your lungs can shrink and that will take away from your air capacity. Has anybody else heard his? is running in cold temperatures really that bad for your lungs? any advice or comments would be appreciated.

Typical Runner's World article here but does answer your question in the Cold-Weather Myths column. www.runnersworld.com/home/0,1300,1-51-54-1033,FF.html?site=RunnersWorld
