Alright, I am a little confused about this situation. The rankings on Sporting Canada show that Alberta has quite the pedigree of 300m runners... Bousomo 34.32 Fisher 35.26 Cross 35.32
How is it that they run 3:35 at CANWEST this weekend, and to DATE have only put up a 3:28.2 4x400m time? Were there some injuries? All these guys ran the 300m at CANWEST. How many teams make CIS for this event?
I figured that they'd be a definite medal threat. It'd be like Guelph or Windsor failing to qualify for the 4x800m at CIS. Can someone from out west please explain this to me?

Canada West is the first time these guys have had an "A" team running. Fisher was the second runner and dropped the baton on his last corner . They were to far behind to catch anyone so Antoine jogged his leg for the points.

The deal with the 4x4 at CanWest was that Rob Fisher dropped the baton after someone hit his hand going around the last corner. He thought it was intentional, but they didn't protest cuz it wouldn't have done them any good anyways, they needed a time. The other thing with the U of A team is that their 300m runners are rigging pretty hard at the end of 300, so 400 is a bit of a stretch. (They can still kick our(U of C) asses this year tho )

Well from what I seen..having been on that leg and running right behind them(them being sask's Mccormick and alberta's Fisher) It looked like Mccormick was going for the pass and fisher having that not so pretty running form was waving his arms all over the place and well It looked like mccormicks hand came down on fishers just as his was going up then the baton just went a rollin' I dont think that was intentional.
