From what I seen and was told the 2nd runners were on thier third lap some of them just starting to kick or getting ready for it when the official yelled at the 3rd runners to get on the track...some of the girls didnt think it was the right lap but if the offical yells at you to get on the track I dont think your gonna sit there and question it cuz if your wrong you lose your race..the timers were yelling at the offical it was only lap 3 and alot of others were but she either didnt hear it or didnt think they were right...so they ran 1 lap short. The times wont count...which does suck for calgary who looks like they once again would have run under the record, however the places do count..so the top 2 make CIS automatically.
Hope that helps.

UVic are the ones who got really screwed. Their short leg runner could have run 42 for her last 200 and still qualified the team for CIs. Since the officials screwed up (I assume this was the start line Nazi's mistake) they are now going to be the first team out unless coach Fougner's appeal works out.
