Sydenham will take silver. There's not a doubt in my mind. would you like to share with us why youre so sure they will get second? They're a spinning image of the KCVI team of last year. Who came second. Their top 3 are just as strong and if not stronger than the KCVI team and their 4th runner is a much better performer than KCVI's.

Senior Boys teams
#1 Massey No explanation required
#2 Cameron Hieghts Assuming all are healthy they are just too strong as a group and bunched near the front. They also have a good 5th. Same position as Pre OFSAA
#3 MCVI 4th at Pre OFSAA without Darlington, with him they will move up 1 spot to 3rd
#4 Syndenham 3 fast runners near the front. Assuming their problems from PRE OFSAA are solved, they move up 9 positions.
#5 Highlands Like Syndenham but Syndenhams 3rd is better then Highlands. Will move up 1 position from Pre OFSAA
#6 Courtice Cunliffe is finally recovering from a month long sickness and Esselink will be right in the thick of it. Pick up 4 places from Pre OFSAA.
#7 Theriault Very close battle with Courtice, could be decided by a few points. They keep their place from Pre OFSAA.
#8 Center Wellington They have a strong group of runners tightly bunched but unfortunately not close enough to the front and without at least 1 strong top runner they will only maintain their Pre OFSAA placing.
#9 Notre Dame Burlington Like Center Wellington without a strong runner up front their top runners will be pushed further back with more of the top individual runners being present at OFSAA versus Pre OFSAA. They drop 4 places from Pre OFSAA
#10 TISS - If Wynands has a great one they move up but I think they will be on the losing end of a close battle with ND and CW. Did not compete at Pre OFSAA
#11 Sarnia Northern - Bunch of pretty good runners ( more 800 then XC) but none close enough to the front to make their team a threat for top 10. Drop 2 places from Pre OFSAA
#12 Cardinal Leger - Another tightly packed team but again their top runner is too far back from the low scoring positions. They maintain their Pre OFSAA position.
Sickness on the top teams could allow healthy teams from these schools to move up
Neil McNeil, Centennial, St Mikes,

I'm not going to make any predictions, but I will say that (based on having seen both teams up close, very close) that Sydenham is a little stronger than the very good KCVI team from last year. Much has been made about their 4th man, but he is easily as strong, and probably stronger, than KCVI's 4th man from last year. And all of their top 3 were coming off of the flu or colds at EOSSA, so expect them to step it up a notch this week. Unless the field is a lot tougher than last year (which it may well be, for all I know), I fully expect to see the Red and Gold on the podium come Saturday afternoon.
Best of luck, everybody. Looking forward to watching you guys mix it up on Saturday!

Centennial Secondary School all the way baby first at Bay of Quinte Invites, First at Bay Of Quinte, First at Cossa, and no doubt they will push it to their limits at Offsa and bring home another gold medal. We'll see how Massey and Sydenham run against that.

junior boys. 1. Redmond 2. st marys Kitchener 3. st micheals Stratford 4. highland ST. Marys 2nd? Who do they have? I didn't even know they had a team... and St. Mikes stratford? 40 points at an easy association meet wont get you a medal at OFSAA... I think you forgot about Winston Churchill and Northern...

st. mary's has got to be the favourite along with redmond in junior boys. they beat winston churchill at oktpberfest and they did it while missing there first runner who is a really fast grade nine. they won cwossa easily in 36 points in a very strong region and their #1 won the race so don't be surprised to see them take the gold

Massey team got hit by the swine - Smith hasn't been out of bed for 3 days and may not be able to run. OFSAA gold could be up for grabs this year.

Massey will of course be the favourite, after that there are a whole bunch of teams that can be in it. Sydenham maybe the slight favourite for silver but a whole host of teams can win silver. One team that no one is giving any respect to is TISS. Sydenham has only beaten them by 10 points twice and they beat a full healthy RS McLaughlin at Trinity and handily beat Theriault by a large margin, yet they are behind all these teams?
Oh well,I guess we'll see on Saturday.......my top 5.....
1.Massey 2. Sydenham 3. RS Mclaughlin or TISS 4. Northern 5. Notre Dame

I don't normally make prediction on midget team (except last year with redmond) but i guess since i did it last year i might as well try my luck again. now being midgets and first time at ofsaa its expected that we underline and miss some prospects so individually i cannot say who will finsh top 10 or w.e but team wise so far and what i have observed i think its fare with my predictions. NOW... granted no one can ever predict a perfect race but heres what i see.
1. SMC 2-5 (no specific order): pickering / ancaster / neil / theriault/ 6-8 ( " " " " " " " " " ) mcvi / crescent / twin lakes
as for jr boys:
1. redmond (this years team is strong with the big 2, however with the injuries of the 3, 4 im just hopping the keep it comming and rep tdcaa) 2-5 swc / sarnia / highland / thomas aquinas 6-8 dunbarton/ dwyer/ crothes /
sr. boys:
1 with a 3 peat in sr and a 5 straight gonna go with the boys from windsor
and from here on i just gotta say i have tremendous respect for these guys. its gonna be a stack field.. so instead of listing my top 8...these are my notables who will all be there hunting for top 10.
heights / mcvi / syndenham / dame / highland / centennial / theriault / neil / courtice
sorry if im being a little sexiest here. however i'm not to familiar with the girls this year.

Again, no predictions, but I agree that the TISS boys are being underrated here. They are a strong and very balanced side. I think they're further off the Sydenham boys than the scores in the smaller, less deep fields would suggest, but they are a very solid team nonetheless.

Sacred Heart for midget boys...
They had 3 in the top 20 at Carter (5,16,17) and their fourth runners was three minutes back from there in 150th. But if you look at York region results, they look to have shored up their fourth (and fifth), coming in only one minute back. If their fourth and fifth were running Carter and only a minute back they would have scored under 100 points which would easily have won midget.
