Anyone had to deal with this issue? If so how did you manage.
Also, if you've had orthotics modified with a carbonfiber morton's extension, how have you found that for running?
I'd appreciate anyone's feedback.

I've had it for over a year in my right foot. I stopped running last year in Novermber and thought some time off would help it hel but it didnt really go away comptetely, it just got a little better. I took a total of 8 and a half months off and im still being really cautious and im not able to work out that hard which suck because i just started university and i cant race. But i still have faith that I will get back to 100% because although slow it is showing some improvement, and i only feel the pain when i run really hard. I was perscribes anti-inflamitories and orthotics. I took the anti-imflamitories but didnt see a whole lot of difference and i never bothered with the orthotics because as i said it showing improvement and i dont want to tamper with the progress. I also say a chiropractor whe did some ART in the area to break everything up which helped with the way i walked but didnt do anything for te pain. What has helped the most is iceing it after every time i run and good shoes.

Thanks for the input. I'm in the same kinda boat. I've been dealing with this for about two years. Half of that i was able to manage with taping and vit. I and a heck of a lot of ice. Yoga and phsyio helped too to a point but it was time to focus on getting this thing properly healthy 3 months non-impact didn't help too much. some days are very much better than others. I have spent the last year in trial and error w/ orthotic modifications and am probably going to try the rigid carbonfiber extension next, though that's about all the specialist has in the arsenal. I just thought i'd put this out there to see if anyone in the community has any ideas. Good luck w/ your foot G Nicol, if something comes about that really works, i'll keep you posted.
