It was a nice day for running. The course was wet, but it wasn't raining during the race. It was a new course, and I liked it quite a bit. It was supposed to be 7500m, but it was short of that for sure. Are you sure 7.4 is accurate? If so, those are some flying times. Comparing that to Griak last weekend that would put a lot of people a full minute faster for their extrapolated 8km time (obviously there would be some slowdown, but not that much).
eg. baiton 24:45ish here and 25:47 @ griak
bisons averaged 27:40-27:50 I think at griak and it puts them around an average of 26:40 here.
Don't want to be a hater or anything just curious because that's a flying fast course if legit.

yeah, i kind of find it hard to believe as well myself, although it was a pretty flat course for the most part (2 hills per lap, so 10 in total), i was just going off the course map our coach sent us, it says 1428m laps with a 130m add-on at the beginning and 100m add-on at the end.

An impressive performance by the Dinos. It seemed ridiculous that this perennial top 10 team hasn't been mentioned in the first two rankings (which are very well done, and interesting). I wonder if they have any contending guys who weren't racing? As for the Cougars, a disappointing turnout. Their fourth place ranking seemed a little inflated considering Kelly Wiebe has yet to be seen. Apparently he will be racing soon, so I guess we'll have to see if the cougar cats can live up to the hype. Looks like Wyatt Baiton is the real deal though (CIS rookie of the year?). It's going to be an interesting battle in CanWest this year, looks like it could be a three pony race with Calgary, Regina, and Victoria.

Kelly is back to doing full workouts with the team, although we're not sure when he'll make his first appearance, but he will be racing this fall
