I was wondering what XC races were on for the week of Sept. 28 - Oct. 3. I know about the Kingston meet, but I don't have any info on it and was preferably looking for something a bit closer to North Bay. Also, when is the Heart Lake race.

Abbey Park invite on October 1st, Heart Lake (pre-ROPSSAA) week of october 18th, Mustang Colts meet sometime late september early october?

of course these races are not near North Bay or during the time frame Sept 28 - Oct 3 but they may be of interest to others reading this thread, my apologies if I upset anyone

I was looking for races between North Bay and the Toronto area (2 hours closer than Kingston), which have been provided. Thanks again! |

Pre-OFSAA - Oct. 14 - (Carter Carter Invitational) Probably one of the most important meet before OFSAA.
Good job for OFSAA for going back to BOYD. It was the site for the first few OFSAA's XC Champs.
The only problem is that course is very narrow and longer than most. If you don't get a good start, you are going to be doing a lot of catching up.

Kingston meet is at Fort Henry, site of CIS XC championships (November) and World University Championships (April 2010).

It also gives students who a) aren't aware of these races b) looking for something different, a chance to mix it up especially the Gr. 12s who have been racing the same courses for 3 yrs. |
