Those who attended witnessed an amazing run by Andre Diodati in the midget boys 100m. With a strong headwind the Richview runner ran an astonishing time of 10.9... From what i heard it is his first time competing in that event. What makes it even more special is that he started the race standing up! Clearly he is going to be a number 1 contender for the OFSAA gold and hopefully a threat on the international stage. We are looking forward to another great result at the centennial mini meet #2 this friday

mrsdiodati, perhaps? No chirps - or I'd to start talking about black kettles or something like that...

Yah same I to was a witness. It was quite the race.. man is raw 10.9 without blocks and standing and in running shoes AND first 100 ever for him? wow... World Record Holder in the making? I think so.. He has opened a new a evolution of sprints in Canada, and he will be the OFSAA champion for 4 years straight in the 100...

Nice to see raw talent popping up in grade 9 once again. I'd be surprised if he wasn't a soccer player or something.

You have to be careful with young prodigies like him. Bad things can happen to such athletes with the wrong kind of handling...

I'd ask if he was good-looking, but.. a)speedgoggles doesn't work on sprinters (not for me, anyways) b)he's in gr 9, which might be illegal.

Toronto Public HS meets are notorious for not posting schedules or results. At least the Marcellinus meet has a schedule for tomorrow. Attachments:
